I have reported a dozen bugs. Some game-changing ones, like you know TURNING YOUR PETS INTO BOATS.

Fact: RDA exploits still not being fixed at this point in the game = laughable.
Fact: rewards for reporting bugs/exploits need to be beefed up to encourage the system to actually work.
It's too bad players like those in $, POWER, and UO motherfucking Jesus himself Hanes (wreckognize) have been able to keep the spoils of their exploitations. Some of these guys need their bank accounts wiped to be perfectly honest.

Ehhh perma bans should be limited to those buying/selling gold or caught cheating for a second time.
It really pains me to hear stories about that guild 24/7 who were perma banned for PKing too hard -- sucks losing guilds on a freeshard.

I think the thing you're missing here is that the RDA system is hardly reliant on the fact that one or two of them might get missed, which I doubt any would be with or without this bug.
Case in point: with or without the bug the exact same amount of relics would be generated and probably go into the hands of the exact same players, albeit they may have to do a little bit more work (not much)
I loved the claims of ''making 10's of millions of gold'' as if it were being generated. Laughable.
Now stop cheating everyone out of their time by making cry threads and exploiting the in game page button system.

And no, people like me and my crew spend hours every day tracking and doing RDAs, how is it fair to us that Mt was able to find this rda with no work while we were left searching for an rda that he completed because of an exploit
And yes, they made 10s of millions of gold off this exploit, all it takes for that to happen is one or 2 relic drops.
You clearly have no idea about the rda system and are just spouting off ******** hypocritical nonsense.
P.S. MT is the one who reported barracoon for using this same exploit so he and you have no room to call me out for being an honest player and reporting him and getting the exploit fixed.

It's not the fact that what MT and itame were doing was wrong, but the fact that they knew it was and did it anyway. In over 2 months of searching we have found 2 minotaur RDAs. One happened to spawn on top of me 5 days ago. The other we found a few nights ago, and while completing it "a lucky leprechaun" logs on invisible in the rda and slithers out of the gate. Mess then reported the bug and it was fixed. Last night we found a Minotaur rda and got a bloody relic and 120 provo. Merica.

Ok so let me get this straight ... Your all upset because had you not reported the Bug / exploit you would have instead used the exploit to make 10's of millions . And you hypocritically lambaste someone else for using the exploit instead of you and want that person banned perminently , thus eliminating the competition ... errrr yeah right .. Reporting bugs is what you should just do because its the right thing to do ... not because you want a reward ...

Rewards are my second point for a reason, I would be totally fine if all bug reporter rewards were removed, but as I have stated multiple times in this thread, the majority of players on uof will not report bugs unless it benefits them. Your ideas are overly optimistic of the players on uof.
a rule is not a rule unless it has a punishment and is enforced. Right now exploiting gets you nothing more than 2 day jail in one of 3 accounts, and that's if staff even bothers. That's not even a slap on the wrist that's a fucking joke. Notice how Mt just laughs at it like, who the fuck cares, cause he got to make millions and all it cost him was 2 days on one account.
If I was to find an exploit I would report it, and not even care if I got a reward. The point is though, I'm NOT most people on this shard. I'm willing to bet that there's a good chunk of players on this shard that would risk that slap on the wrist to make money hand over fist. If you're one of those selfish people that are all about themselves then why would you turn in an exploit?

Slow down man, take a look at your title. ''Is it worth it to report bugs?'' @amonseti answered your question. It's still going to be well worth reporting problems even if the people exploiting them don't get punished, or you don't get a reward, because the most important thing is getting the problem fixed.
But fixing the problem isn't what you care about at all. Stop pretending it ever was because informing the entire population about the problem before devs had a fair chance to fix it is all you've done. You're so exposed.

I spent time with eppy (after he told me I probably wouldn't get a reward) helping him test the whole area.

I can vouch for Mess. I have done RDAs with him for the last 2 months and we indeed just discovered this bug. The only reason we did was because one of our members was tracking and saw a random name pop up deep in the rda and then move to the gate invisible and exit. Mess then reported it instantly.
