Geez that's like what, an hour and a half for a tamer to make that much? Glad I never made one it sounds like it would be impossible to turn a profit.
Verily, they are the most neglected class on UOF.
Bonded super pets and moaning about statloss wtf?
There should always be penalties to letting them die surely.
easy.. cheap 25k-non statsloss insurance for pets..
this whole thread is just garbage, man.
you're complaining bc you let your pets die (i seek forgiveness?), and they lose a point in something that can be bought up easily for 10-15k. if you die, you should take a loss.. and as a tamer, you have what? regs and a few pots on you? if you can't make 10k with a tamer in 10 minutes, you're doing it wrong obviously.
regearing a pvm dexxer is double to triple that amount, if not more.
get better at the game, don't try to make the game fit around the fact that you suck.
i care because i have a tamer myself, and i think it is perfect. my pets back to 7x gm within half an hour when they die.. whether it's through farming or ss.Why do you even care about this topic... aren't you too busy owning all of UOF to care about a tamer grinding up their pet skills?
BTW, It's never been about gold I've given away more gold then some have ever earned. It's about my time and skill gain!

if it's not about gold, then spend 10k on a resist scroll. idgaf how much you've given away.. USE it instead, so we don't have to deal with these crybaby threads man.
the first time you post a thread asking, its just a question. My original post asked a question that's it.... it's guys like you that insist in turning them into crybaby threads.

the second time, eh..
the third time and on, it's just a nagging crybaby thread.
To be fair, one can buy out of stat but the other can't.the first time you post a thread asking, its just a question.

it's not that i don't understand what you're getting at. im just saying.. its a sandbox game. figure out ways to fix things yourself. you want statloss for reds right? you don't think you, as the most powerful pvm template in the game, should have some sort of loss when your WEAPONS die?

if there is a real pet statloss, then it needs to be 40% just like reds.To be fair, one can buy out of stat but the other can't.
Which, in hindsight, seems kind of silly. For some reason I remember several people (including Adam) saying we don't need another gold sink. But if tamers are so OP for money making (and the argument for PKs buying out of stat loss was you can afford it because you've been killing farmers) and are thus the richest players in the game....why the hell not slap a gold sink on that?
Then there never would have been a scramble to come up with ideas to curb inflation that pissed the player base off. Proposed taxes did not sit well with the community. The inevitable reduction of gold drops on spawn was a good solution.
Adding a gold sink to these moneymaking machines would be a drop in the bucket compared to the collective gold that has been sunk into meta stones. Over time that will change. But it's not going to have this major impact that people think it will.
Any who, this topic has been fleshed out every way it can. There's really only two solutions that make sense: fix skill gains, or let us opt out of losing them in the first place.

i think an hour or two would be perfect tbh.
