Before too many people realized howmuch and how fast you could make money lock picking dungeon chests OSI nerfed them from about 600-1.1k gold +gems/weps.
The main problem with this is it was able to be AFK scripted and players were accumulating massive amounts of gold.
Personally i think the staff here at UOF could do a much better job at fixing this issue then OSI did, there solution was to basically make it worthless.
Now i understand there are dungeon chests and some people even go around looting them but the code is post dungeon chest nerf.
I think the stealth theif/LP treasure hunter style was a amazing arch type and should be brought back.
I say increase the loot from chests and make 50% of them random spawns in really hard locations to get with high end mobs and the other 50% static locations through the dungeon.
The random spawns would offer much more loot and have chances for SS but require 100 LP and 100 tinker even maybe, while the static chests can be opened starting at 92.0 but offer less loot and no SS chance but contains weps as well.
I think this would not only increase dungeon traffic and give players a entire new arch type to enjoy with some really simple coding, but i think dungeon chests maybe should require a second skill since lockpicking already works well with SoSs and paragon chests, i would just really like to see the lockpickers going deep into dungeons for some really fat risk vs reward loot.
