Why aren't guild sizes limited?

I don't even notice EQMS people...and I was in the guild, and it wasn't half as many people as Synergy...when I tried Synergy half the server was green. Now, the only problem I can see is guilds like TRIN...they are like half the server and all they do is grief on blues...EQMS makes the server better, guilds like TRIN make it worse. I see over and over on forum, in game, in IRC...people complaining about TRIN...yet I only see a small group of elite players in $ or rival guild that hate EQMS and just constantly make posts cause they are bad in game( ie- Robertwhatever and all the guys like that)

EQMS has half the server gunning for them, and they don't get special treatment like some other guilds it seems.

First off, we don't grief blues. We may fight them in PVP areas like Khaldun, etc. Our "privateers" may also fight them on sea. Trin has been here for 2.5 years son. We do a lot for this server and help new players. That said, I have never complained or pushed for EQMS to be removed. Keeping a guild within reason size is up to the GM. Our guild list is cleaned up every three months. I also stop recruiting for weeks at a time to control the guild size.

In the future, before you post about my guild, get the facts right. And if all you see if people complaining about Trin, then we 're doing a good job in being an active guild apparently. But I'm pretty sure, you sir, are full of shit.

Sorry..a bit late in this thread. Mostly because I'm playing the game.

UO is the last stand for a true sandbox game anyone can do anything they want to do you want to play solo and get rolled all day you can, you want to pvm you can, you want to zerg noobs all day you can, you want to talk dirty to animal npcs you can.

there is a 1000 games where u can farm in 100% saftey with staff catering to your every whine and they have better AI better GFX and more people playing.

UOF is a last stand for a great game where u can play how u like w/o staff telling you how to play.

i want to play solo and roll others, i cant. this isnt sandbox. current system is FORCING people to join big guilds. being FORCED to play with a big group is not freedom.

well that might be because its a sandbox MMORPG... you should try out MOO2, it's a sandbox strategy game, and you can play it all solo.

no one forces anyone to be in a large guild. there are plenty of solo pvpers, or people that farm/pvp in groups of 2-3. your narrow mindset is what 'forces' people to join big guilds.

instead of playing UO on hard mode youd rather be a noob and play on easy mode and conform to what everyone else does.

i, for one, find much more enjoyment soloing vs 4 oranges than 10v10s or 15v8s. i joined a big guild because theyre cool people. i actually rarely play with them.

Yeah. I gotta say I was a bit surprised that everyone in eqms was so nice in mumble. Biggest surprise was @Tard the Paladin , who talks way less than I thought he would. That shit blew my mind.

it is made to keep online, because if you have mates you play more.

good luck m8 trying to compete "solo" and "roll others", while going up against established guilds and players who have been here for 6 months-2.5 years

So does anyone see any reason not to remove stat loss completely and makes it so anyone with a count can't gate/recall in/out of any dungeon?

This would increase the Overland pvp as there is no stat.
Would provide Blues an advantage that would increase their chances against people with a pvp template.
Would create huge dungeon entrance battles knowing 10 Reds are on their way out.
Would make defending champs a more viable option as Reds would have to raid from the entrance and would need to go in early enough to get to boss before dead.

The only additional change I would make is significantly lower the weight of gold giving the pka chance at a big pay day for their effort and the dead tamer would really have no one to blame but himself for not banking sooner. Even though we all know we would still carry 50k before banking if that's what we could carry.

people would stool/wall off dungeon entrances and farm newbies with dragons - not sure if it'd work :-(

For champ raids I think it would work great. I just don't want to eliminate the solo pk going after the bard. So I think since it would be more work give a chance at bigger pay day and lower gold weight.

A lot of people say they pk hoping to draw out a big fight when people call in and this will promote fights for sure. A lot of the reason why there isn't an anti pk zerg is because hunting pk is hard they don't stay anywhere for any length of time but with this the group can get ready and fight at entrance. Would need to remove stat for sure though.

If you have no murder count dungeon travel doesn't change. Just those with counts have to have a strategy to attack a dungeon.


ah yeah, sorry. Didn't try to understand it properly. Sounds like a good change to me actually - would definitely mean more action in Dungeons !

I think it's time to not focus on harsher penalties (forcing players to log off is never the best solution). Harsher penalties just lead to bigger zerg for safety. Instead have a draw back that is the same for 1 as it is for 20.

Let's have pvp players fighting pvp players and pvm players still have to worry about pk but not expecting them every 3 minutes.

Theres no incentive for large crews(PCH, $, TBA, TRIN) to faction -- improve faction incentives, get the large groups fighting eachother, and this will minimize the dungeon PKing.

All sigil bonuses are either broken or worthless... make it so you can make gold from factioning either through sigil bonuses or through punkte being treated like event score.

So you want life to be easy in UO as a solo player? A MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER game you want balanced for someone who refuses to play with others?

Ok this is my last post on this thread because it's turning into a derailment of players trying anything they can do for damage control.

No I don't play uo like a single player game. But in the same facts this is a sand box game and you should not need to be in a huge guild just to play this game normally. I don't have 80 hours a week to play it wouldent be fair to a guild to give them the idea they are going to get a full time player so your point t is moot. This game has does and always have some lone wolf type gameplay.

What I see alot of from you and Kaz is a kid that thinks they are entitled to everything ... it's ok sit at home while the working class pays you to do that.. then add an elitist attitude and you have the poision that's ruining this server.

Like @Shane said it's fix or the server withers.
