And maybe I'm being biased without realizing it but I came from siege and there would be DAYS before I would even run into anyone in game....I guess I'm just subconsciously afraid of seeing those days again.

Honestly things like this need to be caught early and stopped and if its a known bug/expliot the people who abuse it should be jailed and have the items they acquired through this method deleted.


The economy on a UO shard is SO important, and when things like this go on you end up with a shard that has WAY to much gold on it that should not be there, making it harder for new players to get started in the game.
Also the UO economy is very prone to massive inflation due to expliots just like this and if its not caught quickly enough can honestly ruin the entire future of the shards economy.


Just look at previous shards and you will understand.

People should be severely punished for using any exploits or bugs to create gold because in all honesty that is the most fragile part of UO and can destroy shards.

Ok here's how it went down my dear. We find an minotaur rda after a little over an hour of tracking. You know actually working to get things you want. Now I always run a tracking macro to make sure no one is coming in. Now my radar is completely clear until the boss comes up, and suddenly a char named A Lucky Leprechaun shows up hidden in the far south end of the RDA. No way he came in and stealthed his way there as he just popped up in that location, a minute later he is gone. So mess decided to take his alt and logs him out to see if he gets moved out of the rda. So we don't look like jackasses if a GM tests it and finds there was no bug. IMMEDIATLY after Mess confirmed the bug he tries to contact various GMs to tell them the char name and the exploit. AT THE TIME WE DID NOT KNOW WHO LUCKY LEPERCAHAUN WAS! So it wasn't about "getting rid of the competition." And of the 4 people in the party and TS channel, not one of us even mentioned keeping this exploit to ourselves. We wanted this exploit to be exposed.

NO we never considered there was someone exploiting the Minotaur RDA

NO it's not about being rewarded for turning in an exploit

It's about people only risking a slap on the wrist to do an exploit that gets them lots of cash.

Wasn't there in this instance and I was not tracking inside the RDA so I cannot confirm or deny that you fellers were logged out in that particular RDA... but I can safely say no. No, we have never benefitted from exploitation and Fay is nothing but honorable trustworthy.

The odds of losing connection and thus logging out in one of the handful of tiles that had not been fixed, only to conveniently log back into the next round of RDAs as soon as they are up and knock it out "so fast" are beyond slim. So I ask why? Why this song and dance?

I understand you were frustrated that others were doing it so you guys decided to just do it yourselves. I get that...but please own it. You clearly aren't having anything you have gotten from those RDAs taken away from you.

i'm afraid you are wrong, i logged out in this RDA a total of 2 times, once to test if thats what was going on and once after that to keep the char in there so i could show eppy.

i have never and will never use know and gay exploits to get an advantage, i don't need that shit to be a good player.

also you were the only player logged out in that RDA so i dont know how everyone else was doing it but they didnt do it by logging out.

Also, Lol and claiming to be there as soon as it spawned, we found it an hour or 2 after they spawned, you were just slow on your game and fucked up.

also we didn't know at first that you were logging out in there and not getting kicked out. but i suspected what was going on as i always felt the mino RDA was rare. so i tested it, caught you, and reported you. but wtf do you care, you guys hardly even get a slap on the wrist for it, cause @Shane and @Adam don't seem to give a fuck if you exploit to make mils these days.

Personally I love how Bromista thinks anyone believes him about anything after claiming Khadul never cheats, just because they're friends. Give us a break laddy

As for rewards only me and Adam really give them out, in fact i think i've given out the vast majority on bugs. The reward if any depends on the severity of the bug.

Truth is even if people log out in RDA's right now it may only save a guild 15 minutes from finding it. PEople find them almost instantly now, we could probably change up how they are found.

If you're open to make changes.... Be nice if they spawned back in dungeons again... i haven't seen one since they were removed.

Shane this is way bigger than you are making it seem, my group spends 1-2 hours tracking RDAs, while MT and Itame were simply logging in and doing them cause they knew right where it was, that gives them a huge advantage over other guilds looking for RDAs, and they made 10s of Mils in relics, doing it for 6 months+, and knowing it was an exploit that they reported $ guild for using. i mean seriously is that what you want this to be, Exploit all you want cause you only get a slap on the wrist when you get caught?

I understand that for Hanes it's romantic to accuse others of foul play whilst having nothing to back it up, but it's hard when there's just no substantiality to back up his claims.

But yeah, I do think @Shane might have missed the point a bit. It's not about fifteen minutes longer for a guild to find an RDA (it can take hours, BTW) it's about the culture of bug reporting and the lack of accountability when someone decides to do the wrong thing instead of the right thing.

This bug, other bugs, doesn't matter. It's a cultural issue. One that staff has a great deal of influence on.

Flex those staff muscles, plz! Let's work together to create a more honorable environment.

Did you take video of them doing it by chance at all?
Not sure if you knew but we just don't have time to sit there and wait to see if someone logs into the RDA's.

Also we've been receiving a load worth of BS crap from people who dislike each other and are consistently trying to get each other banned from the game. It's been not cool at all trying to sift through what are real reports, and what people are making into a huge deal in attempt to get some one banned as you can imagine.
