Well regardless of the bickering it seems like Gluttony is doing stuff to improve the server. I don't really know you guys but from what I've read here and seen i game the guy cares for the server and the players and spends a significant amount of time doing what he says.

Whatever the feels are, he is doing a lot to organize and lead. You don't find that kind of dedication all the time or just anywhere.

Thanks for the offer Glutt. I'm an old school player so I do everything - pvp pvm and RP.

I'm working a Mage up right now for my pvp character. Already have my thief and dexxer guilded for RPing and pVE but when the Mage is done training I'll let you guys know.

I'm not new to UO pvp but it's been years and I could definitely use some refreshers.

PVM incentives arent the same thing as gold/silver incentives -- i know a ton of people who could give 2 fucks about meta pet shit but I dont know a single person who wouldnt want more gold.

raises hand, i have regs, potions, armor, hundreds of vanqs, leather, 2 mil and a few rares, why would I want more gold?

He also constantly defends staff and the server instead of just complaining. Also helps new players quite a bit as well.
 
Hell no to bolas. Don't see how this helps anyone but the zerg guilds. Adapt and make cut off runes was what we were told months ago when MALES were gm runners before the zerg alliance.
 
Like all the ideas except for bolas. Don't really care for them here (and wands, purple petals, etc.) just because I dont want this shard to be as item based as on uoforever. When I first came here I thought I'd hate a shard with no wands and such. I found it a little refreshing however to see actual explosion/ebolt syncs. As for bolas, yes they may solve the constant running problem, but I think it could be solved better by upping the stun chance and timer (IMO 4 seconds was good), and upping explo pot damage.

Some other things I think they should fix: Inscribe for reflection scaling linearly with inscribe skill. Currently having 0 inscribe and 99.9 is the same thing in regards to pvp. Unless you are at GM you will not reflect more circles.

Anatomy linearly scaling with stun chance. Currently having 80 anatomy and 100 anatomy makes no difference. As long as you have enough to toggle stun you gain nothing by having anatomy up further aside from punch damage.

Something is still wrong with wrestling while casting/stunned or something. I have noticed it being off while dueling, but haven't really dug deep enough to know exactly what.

Animal control chance needs adjusted in regards to nightmares and dragons. Currently having 120 animal taming and 20 lore allows you to control a nightmare at 100%. Having 100 taming and 90 lore I will fail to control a mare roughly 25% of the time. IMO they should calculate the control chance based on total taming + lore. That is 140 skillpoints invested compared to a total of 190 skillpoints invested. I agree that there should be the option for more templates in regards to pvp, but this basically gives someone an 8x GM tamer at no cost. Meanwhile to run a stun tamer I was having to drop many skills lower and take a bunch of tradeoffs.

Leave house/banned/faction combat skipping from houses needs changed. I like the idea that someone can't run inside houses to get away, but the way they implemented it is pretty stupid IMO. I suggest instead of skipping across to the other side of the house when you are unable to enter you rubberband against it.

Spell recovery time/next spell delay and disrupt timer need adjustments. Also some individual spells need delays adjusted (magic arrow for instance).

Bolas are about as item based PVP as pots.... theyd also likely cost 500-1k silver and would be just for factions. The idea here is that if people want that uoforever PVP experience(which some do and some dont) then factions will be where that high end PVP will occur. Your regular PVE, PK, or blue anti PK will not be affected by any of the changes to make factions PVP more robust and healthy.
 
I feel as if bolas support your zerg playstyle too much for you to look at the situation objectively. Of course you will be for something that will obviously benefit your group..

Currently running, splitting the 25 of you up, and being able to load/drop on the run is the only way you are able to be beaten. You want people to stay on screen to try and heal 25 man syncs vs half your numbers.

Also I think it is dumb to make changes to faction only. I don't like the idea of bolas here, but if they are added add them for everyone not just factions.

Dont believe the hype -- we dont roll with 25 people and the other factions run with at least 10 people these days. Bolas would be for factions only as the common player on this shard would cry too hard to be exposed to something like this.

Making PVP mechanic decisions based on a guild is also pretty short sighted -- as I said above, faction PVP is a runfest regardless of whether its a 10v5 10v10 or 10v15 -- everyone just runs away as soon as they cast their off screen loaded FS because theres nothing to prevent it, regardless of numbers.

In a 5v5, nothing prevents one side from loading offscreen, running back on screen, dropping, and then running away again. There is nothing that forces groups to stay on screen and fight. Bolas are for factions only and factions arent really made for solo or 2man groups.

Not to mention improving factions to include more robust PVP would give a niche to order chaos as those people who wanted a PVP sytem without all the stuff factions will have can go order chaos instead.

This already scales based upon Magery and Inscribe.

It is a chance based off of taming + lore, however I am told they are weighted and the formula takes into account several other different factors too. I can tell you that Taming is weighted heavier than lore, which is what you are seeing.

If anything i'm complaining the changes were half assed. Spells still need more damage and what kind of drug did jamiez take too much of when he thought about giving dexers 25 damage purps??

Trying to make it so people have a reason to play alchy dexxers -- its just alchy dexxers that have the better pots. With today's patch, pots for mages have been increased as well.

I dont think spell damage needs any changing except for magic arrow and harm and the fact that AoE spells are worthless.

FS is also kinda pointless atm, min damage needs to be upped

Good to know mages also have good alchy damage that was needed with the new ridiculous stun
