could happen only when they innitiate an attack on a blueIt would be interesting if in PVP a pets "heart" could be cut out when killed, turned in somewhere and have the creature stated for PVP purposes for a few hours. If it could be coded to effect damage on players only so that when the pet dies it is out of PvP commission for a period of time (allowing it to retain full stats/damage in pvm).
I guess the downside would be tamers who get killed by pks while farming, but they likely aren't doing much pvp anyhow other than trying to survive and get out with pets.

tamers are too strong and must pay for what they have!
Why can reds auto avoid stat loss for 30k, but I can't avoid it on my pet for 30k?
I asked Adam about the ss issue, he said he likes having a strong market for Magery and Poisoning ss, he was not concerned they don't train naturally.
I'm sorry but to be honest it just sounds like your whining because you don't want any inconvenience in the type of character that you play. You can makes more money in one hour solo than any red make solo. So that's where the trade off is...What a poor excuse.
If a strong market for skill scrolls is the excuse, then why aren't reds forced to take stat and buy scrolls or work skills up?
To me there is an obvious bias towards making it easier to play a PK/Griefer (the original action cam, avoidable stat loss for reds, stealing then recalling, being able to take a gate while criminally flagged). As if that isn't bad enough then skill gains were reduced and some skills like poisoning for meta don't even gain unless you dump all your money into skill scrolls, which makes it even more enticing to play as a griefer and kill tamer pets (which is all some people do).
I always loved the original idea of UO - Risk vs Reward. It is unfortunate that, that idea isn't embraced here.
Wait... I'm the one who doesn't want any inconvenience?I'm sorry but to be honest it just sounds like your whining because you don't want any inconvenience in the type of character that you play.
Of course you don't compare two PvM character templates like a Archer/Provo and Tamer which can make similar amounts with vast differences in risk. Instead you choose to compare apples to oranges... A PvM character can make more money per hour than a PvP character? What insight...You can makes more money in one hour solo than any red make solo. So that's where the trade off is...
I can tell you in the 1.2 mill xp my pet is at for stage 5, I have yet to have a poisoning skill scroll drop, so implying that poisoning skill scrolls are being raked in is just false. So now because of a legitimate bug with meta pet skill gain I'm suppose to just suck it up because I should be able to afford 50k in scrolls per pet death? Not to mention from your farming probly raking in poisoning scrolls so you're just losing potential profit not really direct cost...
And that is the whole idea that they have behind the server is that no 1 class can just do everything and not suffer any risk or punishment if they or their pets die.
