And, hey, isn't bonded pets/metas and pet summoning balls, the very definition of trammel? I don't see a difference between these things and item insurance.

Plus, I'd never heard of a pet summoning bal until recently, and even than, didn't really know what it was, and I've played UO on/off for like 17 yrs. Granted, never played past AoS.

Well if honestly bro i do feel bad and wouldnt want anyone to quit UOF for any reason, but you gotta live and learn and move on and keep plugging along thats how UO works, shit happens and sometimes its fucking TOUGH but you learn from it and thats how you improve which is why UO is the best MMO out there

Honestly, the dudes did me a big favor. I needed to re-organize my priorities anyhow, and I needed a kick to get to it.

Chances are, I'll be back within 2 years. Maybe in as little as 10 months, who knows.

Well you said 'they' but I'm just not sure weather or not the mechanic is intended by staff, it could be possible that they never intended it. Your problem is more with the mechanics behind the eggs than the developers in that sense.

But ya I don't know if the meta system is built by adam from the ground up or some EA stuff I'm not aware of. Hell, I don't even know one thing about AoS yet, never played on an AoS shard and surely don't plan on it, but it could even be an AoS system for all I know.

If I had to say weather or not staff liked pet thieves here lol I have my doubts personally. Even if we do help them make a shit ton of scrilla selling pet balls :p they still don't seem to like us very much :( hehe

Not to mention that even if staff is aware of meta egg dropping on release, and I'm sure Adam could fix something like that no sweat, but the simple fact is it's hard to keep a shard running this smooth on the daily because of all kinds of problems that arise that take up dev time to handle.

For instance there was a giant bug where the christmas gifts were able to be opened by multiple users at once, by opening the gift selection menu with more than one character, and each one gets a gift from one single box. We're talking about something totally unforseeable happening that took time for adam to fix, which is time away from fixing whatever else is broken.

Man lol, sweet bug though, too bad my buddys Yoar, Pole and Silvio all had the longevity of UOF in mind or I might have been swayed to line my rooftop with giant snowpiles hehe ^^

And yet you weren't even willing to talk a Ransom with the guy...yeah I believe this. Sounds like a douche move.

If he had a 3m relic, you could have asked for 1.5m ransom and everyone would have left happy(ier). Instead you get no egg and the OP loses a meta.

Just because it's UO doesn't mean it ALWAYS pays to be a dick

I got all of my pets trapped like a week ago. New here so I wasn't sure the legality of it on here.. I was saddened to find that there was nothing that could be done and I just had learned a lesson. Learned that any pet I care to keep I need to ball it!
