So my question is quick and simple: I see the donation packages and at the 500 mark you get 10k bonus donate coins, so my question is this if I donate 50 bucks do I get 50 bucks worth of donation coins or do I not get anything until I hit the 500 mark which seems to reset I'm guessing annually.

for 10 usd u get 1k coins, etc. etc. etc. Once your overall donations have hit 500 USD you'll receive your bonus coins (this might take some time, though, as Shane doesn't want the Server to be flooded with donation coins and is therefore holding back the bonus coins sometimes for a month or two to maintain balance and a good economy).

1k coins equal around 150-200k ingame gold, and can be used to purchase either a basic ethereal (llama, horse, ostard) or a cbd.

true that. But I guess that people don't donate 150 USD at once quite as often as people reach the 500 USD tier.

1k dono will get you an ethereal mount, which comes in handy so you never have to tame or repurchase mounts again. So yah, it's worth it imo.

coins aside, It's worth it to support something you enjoy. I personally wish they would come up with an optional subscription plan with benifits, not mandatory, just optional. Like 20 bucks a month or something. I would gladly do it for some perks and then @Shane and the guys could start relying on a monthly model for expenses. just my humble opinion.

Also i should add it is not uncommon for people who DO NOT donate to be seriously over self entitled.

I could not imagine how entitled some people may get by constantly using "do this now or i quit!, i pay XX a month here!"

Some people can be seriously rude, not everyone, just some.

People use the "i donate here" card way too much as it is, and is right up there with one of the worst things to say to any staff member here when you are trying to either get out of trouble, or get something fixed or a question answered.

optional sub plan rewards could just be cosmetic items similar to donation vendors but different. Like a few items or hues that you get only for the sub plan, and those items or hues don't go on regular donation vendor at the same times

I agree with ya shane it would turn out to be pay 2 win, and I think there is quite enough cosmetic stuff out there already.. No need to have a monthly fee for more colorful clothes and items, If you wanna pay that badly, Then simply donate more of you money.

As you DO get rewarded for your donation at 500,1000,1500, etc.. up to 3500? Anything over that you can message staff and see if can do something for you. Nothing crazy but I do believe thats what it says on the thread about this donation reward stuff..

i kinda like the idea of a monthly subscription. i always thought some of these dicks that come around and troll from server to server and act the way they do because they know its hard to get banned (basically have to be cheating) and they know its free. on osi, people got reported for doing the shit they do here, and jailed for it. i know, some people are gonna act like bad asses and say go play candyland or something...but the shit is true. people pop on here and try to act like some e villian and think its fuckin cool because this server only has felucia (which i love btw, dont ever ever ever add trammel). im not so sure locking down on some of these assholes would run people away...i think it would actually help.

With all the rambling on you did, you did not mention how or why you like the idea of monthly subscription, In fact none of that post makes much sense to me, People are gonna act like assholes regardless of paying or not, in fact if they pay they have more of a reason to act like one... Futhermore.. It would still be a free sever with the option of paying a monthly subscription from what the above posters have suggested.. So you totally lost me on what you are trying to say.

It is a bad idea all around, Like Iv said. If you really wanna pay that bad, then donate some more...

@Shane my suggestion for subbing would be obviously a monthly amount of dono coins, which you could pay for anyhow, but also something semi cosmetic like a hooded robe with 5% luck on it or something. It's not a "pay to win" item so to speak, but it would give you a small extra % chance at a better drop or something? Or it could be like a +1 AR or something. A ring that allows you to self rez once per day. Slower house decay for subs. The ideas are endless.

You could also tier them like the dono, 6 months sub gets you a robe 5% luck, 1 year gets you a cape with another 5% luck, 2 years blessed sandles or the casa or something bro, that way it doesn't "flood the market" with items. It could be done. These things are not major increases and can easily be overcame by the non-subbers with a little more effort.

I dunno, something to chew on, I for one would sign up immediately for subbing on top of the occasional dono purchase and you have to admit, completely optional subbing helps keep a reliable and steady income coming in for your staff and yourself.

yes i did mention it. like i said..people act like assholes because this is a free server. most of these kids act like dicks and cheat, then get banned and on to the next free server. do you think this would happen as much if they had to actually pay to play? no, of course not. i dont ever remember this kind of behavior on osi servers. sure, there were griefing pks and asses running around, but not like here. also, i mentioned regulation by the devs (because with people paying, they could maybe hire someone to handle the reporting they get from in game)...this would control the asshats running around. its not really hard to get.........

I second that power hour shit to skill gain and meta pet gains/relics.... Or you can just give them 1337 colored hue name on Forums for being a monthly subscriber.... Power hour shit sounds like a great idea..... access to sneak peaks on future patches/updates/implementations stuff like that...... Donation title in game that is account bound non transferable so people can't sell it for Gold or Dono coins..... 1 get out of jail free card.... that's about all I can come up with maybe a personal in game hooker with a complimentary stash of blow?

the only problem with power hour (oh...the nostalgia!) is that most skills here are super easy to gain..so its pretty balanced out here. although i here on the weekends the skills gain faster now but i havent trained any character up in a while so i cant comment on that.
