So without the crushing blow, if a warhammer and a double axe both hit a target for 50 dmg before the armor reduces the dmg, the damage that the target takes after the armor reduces the dmg will be the same for both weapons too?
I've leveled both dexer talis to lvl 10. I measured my exp/hour the whole way through (I kept motivated by trying to beat my previous record). It seemed to me that, with LJ, the best axes I could find easily beat the best katanas I could find. However, I could never find katanas that were as...
lollo was saying that the dmg from some weapons passes through AR better than others. E.g. it's possible that two weapons that hit an unarmored target for the same damage would not have done equal amounts of damage to that target if he had been wearing armor.
Is there an armor penetration...
Ya the chart on the wiki doesn't give any info about the weighting of the dice. Most weapons have similar damage ranges; effectiveness seems to be more about dice weighting (and speed) as far as I can tell.
Ya, I noticed that. I dueled a friend of mine with my LJ against his dexer in invuln plate. I was hitting in the single digits more often than not. I figured the reduction was the same for other weapons too tho. Good to know. Thanks.
I'm at evil and not losing karma from killing players, NPCs or cute animals anymore. I only lose "a little karma" from killing fey. Is there a faster way to get from evil to dread?
Surprised that none of the pros listed the double-axe as their first choice.
Is that entirely because of the 100 skill points required or are there other reasons?
Simple solution with two simple parts:
A minimum score for PS eligibility.
The early stages give the most score per point of damage.
As such, the later the raiders were to arrive the less likely they would be to meet the score requirement.
So raiders would choose to
arrive earlier and save...
My only concern is that it might be stupid lucrative for non-peak players. It's so easy to rack up score during the first two levels when there aren't many people online. But otherwise, I like it.
Ya I don't think it's enough of a reason not to do it either. Although, I'm not sure that non-PS/relic rewards would do enough to motivate people. If 1-4 people were guaranteed a non-PS/relic, they probably wouldn't be worth much unless they were needed for something that enough people cared...
It shouldn't be time based (for the reason that @girana mentioned), but I think you're on the right track.
The easiest thing to do would be to add in a minimum score required to be eligible for a drop.
They might also make dmg dealt early in a champ give more points per dmg so that the later...
+1
I don't think that that would be enough to fix the problem, but if's true that factioners can't cut faction-killed reds in champ spawns (I thought they could be cut in dungeons?), then that would definitely help.
No offense taken. I wasn't attempting to excuse anything. I wrote my post with my experiences in other guilds in mind. That said, both my replies argued in favor of what you wrote in your OP.
@halygon, you could implement @GluttonySDS's idea without adding more to the economy.
Consider that champ/rda rewards are currently obtained much more easily by off-peak players. It's no coincidence that so many of the very-richest players are european players despite the fact that that they...
