This happens with any strongbox, crate, chest inside NPC shops.
If there are more than 2 items in the box, it will relock & retrap itself within a second after picking the lock. It seems to relock faster the more items are in it.
After stealing enough items from it to put the item count at 2...
This is an excellent idea, but probably a pain to code for potential exploitable edge cases.
I have a lot of newbie items and rune books that clutter my main pack.
Would gladly pay for this item, strictly for only already blessed/newbie items.
Cache Chests were the best feature of Zombieland in my opinion. I'd like to see them added into the rest of the game.
For those unfamiliar,
- A Cache Chest & Shovel was found as loot on Zombies.
- You placed items you wanted to store into the chest and buried it anywhere in the world for...
Thank you for the response Shane.
I totally see and understand the points you made (your observations of that 10+ mil IDOC certainly makes the timer change warranted).
Keeping that in mind, I am curious if your team is open to an alternative solution while still preventing the core problems...
There's a compromise here that should balance the system better than currently implemented.
That compromise is a shorter random timer (less than the current 4 hours), but not a perfect to the second timer.
1 hour seems appropriate.
Now... whats the best way to get a response from the admins...
I propose the following:
50% of IDOC houses have a 4 hour timer + 4 hour random drop.
- Message reads "In danger of collapsing randomly"
50% of IDOC houses have a 7.5 hour timer + 30 minute random drop.
- Message reads "In danger of collapsing strictly"
This way both play styles are...
Hey Razimus I'd be interested in helping you find obscure & secret locations like this.
I have marked a lot of interesting locations on other servers that we could try to get to here.
A few like the underwater marble room & secret rooms underneath dungeons might be possible here.
Thanks for the reply. Yes 50 of each is nice.
I was more curious if this was done intentionally.
There are some interesting perks to having a small stash of newbie regs that stay on you after you die. And the fact that they are obviously very slow to "farm" and they dont stack with other regs...
I am very fond of UOSteam. It's definitely a much better app than Razor.
However, I can't seem to find a way to pair it with UO Auto Map to log housing to the map.
Razor appears to have this one advantage still.
Anyone have a solution?
For the most part, newbie items work as expected here with some exceptions.
Skills that give starting regs:
- Alchemy
- Magery
- Magician (Starter Class)
Typically came with several random reagents on many other servers / old OSI. These regs are newbied unless combined with regular reagents...
