I can't recall (and can't check as I am at work atm) but is the winner announced on the pop up when you first log into game? I usually just x it out without reading :(
I would be nice to see that pop used to also promote any player events...
I don't recall next closest target working the same as they do now. I could be wrong but didn't it just toggle through names and high light available targets that you could then add as the target? The big battles over spawns always seemed to go to the most organized and skilled group and they...
Yah...EA tried like hell to get the seas more busy too. Maybe something like random mini spawns of pirate ships would get more people out and about. Or a Last Ship Standing event where players enter a team and a ship into a free for all.
A kill is a kill. Should be able to count whether on land or on the sea. Be good to see bounty hunters have to take to the sea as well to chase down them pirates !
But archers cant toss pots and use archery (unless they have changed that) So really it would be just a guy running around tossing pots. My tailor can do the same thing.
After seeing that video of defending the fort I think it would be fun to have something tied in with that. Maybe even see if staff could assist by taking the gold from the orc's and having random spawn within the fort drop checks of 5k-50k as loot on their bodies.

But yet excessive pk'ing that effects the community gets changes on a pvp shard ? How does losing the equivalent of what 8 or 9 k in donation coins not have a negative effect on the community?
Shane recently looked into a IRC conversation when someone didn't return donation items that had been lent but never returned. He determined that since they were freely lent no scam occurred. I'm sure he will be looking into this one as well.
