Ehm, yea? Parrying would become the number 1 defensive skill (super strong against melee + nullifies explopots) and we would end up with a very dull, and very defensive system.

So very wrong. A fact about UO is that there are hardcore PVPers (like myself or @drasked) who build the backbone of a Shard's PVP. Fuck them over, and your Shard's PVP goes to shit and becomes non-existant. It's not that hard to grasp. Make an Ebolt cannon and join EQMS, you can always be one...
