I always enjoyed logging in with another character and chasing the PKs away as I was macroing with my bard. They never expect it, it's always funny, and sometimes you can come away with some reags or something.
I should do that more often, now that I think about it...good times.
I keep seeing people say this. Is this accurate? Am I the freak here?
I've played UO off and on since...I guess early '98. I've only had one red character in that time, and that was here and it was temporary.
So, how many don't have red characters?
I'm only going to address one point, as I feel everything else has been covered here already.
Not that I believe even for a second that this would happen...but let's say they removed ethereal mounts. Do we all get our donation coins back? That would suck, because there's really nothing else...
It is a non-issue to you. To some of us it is an issue.
Those of us who don't participate in CTF get nothing but an annoyance (at best) out of it.
I'm glad you enjoy the gumps...not everyone does.
I believe that I said that I appreciate and understand the reasoning behind them. I'm aware that they serve a purpose.
I was simply trying to bring to staff's attention that not everyone likes this and that it can be annoying and problematic. Hell, I'm surprised that no one else mentioned it...
It's not "just one right click" when it pops up in the middle of the screen and you have to click cancel not just right click away, then it pops up in the top left of the screen...both of which stay there until you do away with them.
I'm just saying that the one in the top left that doesn't...
Not that it isn't possible, because when that bastard pops up in the middle of the screen you pretty much have to stop whatever your doing and click cancel.
Pop-ups and messages informing me about CTF, or casinos, or whatever.
I understand and appreciate the reasoning behind the notifications, but I really don't need to be notified 3 times within 2 minutes about a CTF that's starting. Especially the one that pops up in the middle of the screen...
This is certainly no better than using the "grab item" feature. In fact, it's a much less reliable way to loot than that, or even dragging and dropping. I don't see any real advantage that it gives.
