This just discourages solo and small groups of reds, and encourages just flagging on a red and calling in the cavalry.
And as annoying as house hiders have always been in the entire history of UO, houses are meant to be a player's safe haven. Don't fight someone near their home, or...
Another thought is that applying the slayer scroll could temporarily unbless the spellbook (while the slayer attribute is active). So rather than having it wear off on death, the spell book drops on your body. So it balances the risk to match a warrior's weapon. And it can be looted/stolen...
That is a pretty small sample size but it does give some insights. It would have been nice to have the uoforever explosion numbers to compare.
Here's a summary analysis:
uoforever E-bolts:
30 samples
3 resists (10%)
20 average dmg for resisted
28.29 average dmg for non-resisted
27.46 average...
Yes other talismans look like that. You can ". remove" and click the talisman and it temporarily removes the entire talisman graphic, which solves the issue until the next login. But the catch is that you won't be able to double click the talisman and check your XP progress. But the trade off...
Wait.....did the guy whose guild rolls around PK'ing afk macroers with the motto "macro police" really just tell another player who finds and kills afk macroers to find something better to do? The irony is real.
From what I've read, I think the end-point still needs some work but I like the idea behind this.
Repair deeds are currently cumbersome. I first explored repair deeds when I was trying to find fast ways to repair my armor in tournaments, since my armor was getting smashed by macers and I was...
I will not sell these individually, but I will sell the entire collection as a set CHEAP. There is a total of 28 axes, ranked by quality. The minimum quality is (power + 10 tactics) unless it's a slayer axe.
OGRE TRASHING VANQ eminently accurate battle axe
SILVER power surpassingly accurate...
+1 I really like this idea.
Even OSI added slayer spellbooks to add balance to Mage-based PvE.
I think the short-lived nature of the slayer attribute is what makes this idea a winner. I can understand how having too many perma-slayer spellbooks might be a bit much. Then every PvP mage...
In a tournament, if you get a tough duel and your pair is the last to finish in the round, the next round starts almost immediately after you win. You only seem to get about 5 seconds break.
The catch here is that the last tough duel probably drained your resources. So you start off the next...
For a dexer, barbed Bone is the best GM armor in my opinion. It provides 50AR and 0 dex loss. And it's much, much lighter. Not a lot of people consider the weight of armor but having an extra 20 stones free makes a pretty big difference IMO.
The only thing is that the leather stuff seems to...
Murderer guilds have always been a thing. This was even more true back when there was perma stat loss because the consequences for death were so high. PK's would usually roll out with blue healers too.
One thing I think you'll realize is that the "good ol' days" are a thing of the past...
I think it's -9 right now for full plate.
The hit to armor dex loss was very short lived and then it was reverted (or heavily toned back down). It's been back to "normal" for longer than this month though - normal being what it has been on this server for a while. The dex loss is a little...
Hah I think the more appropriate analogy would be if there was a price tag but no actual suit to look at. But yeah I agree with you. I just wanted to make fun of Karl Sagan.
