Rather than fixing skill loss for pets, how about this. Lets make it so players lose 1% of skills on death, and then make player skill gain on par with pet skill gain. That way we can all suffer together!

Actually, I did not call you stupid or selfish - I called your request that. Its good you joined factions and contributed to another part of UO that you had not previously - for you the incentive apparently worked - and shows growth, I wish more people had the balls to do so.
My attitude is exactly what it needs to be in a silly thread like this.

Not really, remember all these tamers joined factions because of the skill loss, not because they want to PVP. As it was said here, most of them are "stinkin provo tamers who can't defend themselves". I know for a fact none of them actually participate in any of the faction base taking, sigil taking, faction fights etc. . Just more proof that you can't "force" people into PVP even with all these weird PVM bonuses PVP factioners get....

Again, joining factions (which currently do not have a cap, which is a really super cool feature that promotes participation in factions and not just joining to reap the PvM benefits without feeling the need to you know, actually contribute...PvP, steal sigils, etc) is not an appropriate solution.
This server has some real garbage faction mechanics and needs reworked from the fucking ground up. Where you at, Kingdoms? Shit'll be fucked up then too, I bet.
Staff meant well @GoD PaRtiCal, encouraging some PvP/PvM and faction participation was the goal but what we have gotten is an absolute joke/botch. Blair wasn't on staff when the first faction revamp came so he's not to blame for the initial fail. But he certainly hasn't done jack to fix things, in fact he seems pretty content with bad mechanics, and as long as he is the "PvP Manager" shit is still going to be real dumb IMO.

Wow, you really are a pathetic person. You don't get what you want and you go around bashing everyone and everything. It's a 18 year old wizard game that's free to play. Staff puts in a ton of effort here, but they will never be able to please everyone. Have some respect and grow the hell up.

The desire for change, both pets and PvP, has not echoed across the forums. No it surely has not. This is a new thing. Never been done before.
I'm actually pretty surprised that the overall community response hasn't gotten more inflammatory the more time goes on.
