Where does gold go after saying "deposit"

I said "deposit" at bank and can't find the gold now but my balance is the same? I saw
someone say "deposit" so I decided to say it too to see what happens. What does deposit do?

a seperate balance, if you say 'check' and the amount i believe it then puts it in check form in your bank instead

I was reading about some way to withdraw money on credit. Is this possible?

It adds gold as a numeric attribute to the character itself instead of keeping it as an item with a unique id. You cant borrow money from the bank. You can get money out of credit by asking for a check or saying withdraw. Alternatively you can just spend gold that you dont have in your backpack at vendors and it will be drawn from credit.
