I think he means the purple colour you turn to when you are holding a sigil.
There used to be a bug back in 2000 when factions were introduced were you could turn any wearable into that purple color. It was a bannable offence but people still did it.

Not for sale and it’s a very very old dono item. Probably one of a kind. I should check the hue # next time i log in
