The staff uses Github which allows them to manage the source code from a browser. The above is basically stating that a person made a change and placed it into the "master" branch. The "commit message" is what you type when you go to save your change, which stated: "davies locker can now be opened by coowners." Since we don't have access to the repository the only valuable thing that we can get out of those Github update posts is the commit message. Those are set by the person making the code change, so it's up to them to make it as descriptive or vague as they want.
