what creatures drop treasure maps?

I know that many different creatures drop treasure maps which range from level 1 to 6 based on their difficulty. Although I can't say for sure, I think it's likely that all aggressive creatures with a loot table have a small chance to drop one.

You can find treasure maps on anything that is a monster, I think.
No animals will have them that I'm aware of. I know Ettins, trolls, gazers, dragons (all of them), rat men, lizard men, orcs, ogres, and elementals will drop them. Probably more but these are the creatures that I personally have found them on. I've never made a treasure hunter, but I'd be willing to bet that the locked crates, and chests in dungeons can have them too.
Player vendors will also have them for sale if you don't feel like looking for them.
Be advised that if you DO find a buried treasure chest the moment you dig it up it releases a wave of creatures that vary in strength (depending on the level of treasure chest) and will continue to randomly spawn more creatures (but only one, or a few at a time) as you loot the chest itself. Mages can usually handle that solo with EV's, or Summon Deamon, and tamers & bards have an obvious advantage.
You also have to look out for people that might try to jump your chest while you're busy with creatures.

Demons are also a good source of Tmaps. Paragon monsters have a chance to drop a paragon chest. In those chests you will find a Tmap each time.

This is very helpful.
Are there arties in uof? I don't think level 6 maps would be worth it unless you can solo it in a reasonable amount of time. I'm a bit of a noob, but my mate and I normally 2 man the level 5 maps pretty quickly, if you have a few of those you can make some gold pretty quick. The longest part is i.d.-ing all the items after, but if you get 3 vanq's and you have a vendor, well then I reckon that's not too shabby, considering none of us have a gm tamer yet. GLHF
