What are the benefits of a slayer (silver) musical instrument?

Do they have an increased chance of barding?
Or if I smack that lich over the head with it, will I do double damage?

it has extra chance to bard yea not sure on exact figures but i don't think its much more than GM and gm works on evreything

well they are slightly better than exceptional instruments I guess, so i use them on ancient liches at GM provo, though i have only failed very few times with exceptional instruments.

They are also a great giveaway to youngs, with initial 50% provo + silver they can provoke many undead mobs in there right from the start, just not mummies and liches right away.

I believe they are +20, and exceptional are +15 to all. They are -20 to the counter-slayer class (humanoids for silver?).

Happy to be corrected if any of this is wrong.

no comment on numbers but yes, pure slayer works better than exceptional.

i wonder if instrument crafting has a chance at making slayers just as in fletching / blacksmithy
