Weird house place

Hey this house was placed just in the last couple days, I ran by it a few days ago and there was no house there so I tried to place one for like 35mins.. couldnt even get a 7x7 down and this guy somehow placed a somewhat big plot in the same spot.. Maybe I might suck at placing houses but not that bad haha.

u sure that it was recently placed? i cud bet that i have seen that house there before...

i placed it. there was nothing there before. not sure how nobody saw this spot as it was fairly big and in a good spot. possibly for sale if you are interested in it just shoot me a decent offer.

There was a place there before, but nothing was there for abit.. I won't lie I am decent at placing houses and the fact I couldn't even get a 7x7 down their makes me questions how you did it is all. you placed that house right on top of a log and bush, every time i try that it says that there is something in the way of the placement.

No idea why you couldnt. I believe that was a 9x10 that i placed so a 7x7 would have fit fairly easily. I did not see a log or bush there so maybe you have an older client with map files that possibly have things there that block placement for you clientside. Not sure exactly how placement is calculated, but this could possibly be the problem.

lol That house has been there for at least 2 days as of now, I chased that red dude all the way home... I recognize that house for sure, just south of Brit Bridge on West side.

Steps typically can't land on log the logs can b inside plot but the 7 steps can't sit right on top of log. Some instances differ but typically

House placement is really wierd, try using the tree hack manouver. Sometimes clicking on a random square like the road might even land ya the placement. I find that placing your mouse just a bit south corner of a tile helps. You will notice your mouse hover and skip just slightly when moving.

House placement is actually quite exact. Just keep in mind two things:

  1. The cursor targets a tile, not a specific location. This means that whether you are targeting the center of a tile or the edge of it, you are still targeting that tile.
  2. The cursor always targets the centermost southern tile of the house plot -- do your placing calculations from that.
Here's a freebie: Ignore the house outline that appears as it is almost always wrong (even if your window is in the top left of the UO screen).

He's got a 300+ lumberjack skill scroll that can wipe tree's from UO.
The skill scroll comes as a '100 gold cheque'. I'm selling them for 500k a pop. We can't discuss the transaction until its gone through so lets trade....

What's sad is that a prime house location like that isn't even desired!!! Housing market farked if that sitting there for days.

I have seen a house in that spot on every shard i've played. I'm sure he merely just correctly hit the exact spot needed to place it.

And then you tried to kite me back to this dumb house so you could precast in house and drop and that didn't work either.
