I'm in the US so no need for VPN but outright banning of VPN sounds like a terrible idea. Classic hatchet instead of scalpel.

The aussie's on this server are a pretty cool bunch i think banning VPN would be a very bad idea for the community as a whole.

im guessing there alternatives to reduce your lag vs. using services that rely on VPN connections. I would look into these options. Its shitty that a small group of people have to ruin services like this for everyone by creating multiple accounts and destroying the economy.

People are using 3 accts without VPNs man (some white listed some not) they have been since day 1
Infact was it not legal to have 3 accts in the early days of UOF? tbh i wasnt here but im sure somone said it was nd that people from day 1 mostly have 3 accts anyway.
Also tbh what big deal in 3 accts more ethys, more Trammy clothes, More donoations = good for server and good for economy.

So people who pay 1million for an additional character slot are idiots? Why not just make a 3rd account and get 3 new character slots? Christ, if it was legal I would multi 5+ clients all the time. Especially for IDOCs, monitoring dungeon activity, always a thief around in case you are bored, a gate caster etc... The fact is the "big deal" with 3 accts is that it violates the ToS.
The ones using 3 accts without masking your IP address and are not whitelisted im sure will be banned soon enough as this matter starts to get handled.
Personally i wouldnt complain if more than 2 accounts was permitted, but seeing as tho it is not allowed, why should a handful of people be able to use multiple accounts when others cannot? (this of course excludes those people who have been granted permission to use more than 2 accounts)

Also i bet VPN gets banned and all of a sudden (strangely) a huge increase in 1mil char slots sales will happen. This = gold sink = better for server. Trammie clothes will need to be purchased for these characters also = more dono sales = better for server. Probably 50 houses will go IDOC and fall = more space for noobs = less complaining = better for forums. jajajajaja

maybe shane could setup a VPN that people could request access to (possibly pay a monthly subscription amount the same as other proxy services), then at least originating IPs could be monitored. If there is bandwidth lying around unused this could be an opportunity to make more monies even.

no Lowerping and im done as well, the lag without lowerping is unbearable. I assume this goes for everyone else in Asia probably

I like the idea of having to log into your account from your home IP, which would be logged. Then you get white listed and are allowed to login using a VPN.
Any accounts that have not been white listed and use a VPN get jailed or banned or whatever.
Much simpler than requiring people to find 'alternatives that reduce lag (???)' or shitting all over a sizeable part of the community.

Promoting server with vpn since day one to get people to play, put in time and even donated from Asia, Australia, Europe even LAR then banning vpn is exactly shitting on everyone outside US.
