It's worth whatever someone else is willing to pay for it, something many people on this server and in life don't seem to grasp. The only evidence of the value of this chest seems to be this auction, so I would say it's worth 200k at the moment.

whats it worth compared to the dark green one?

The dark green ones (wooden) are worth pretty much nothing right now since you can craft them with carpentry and heartwood. Not too long ago, they were worth around 150-200k. The blue ones were worth around 200-300k and the gold ones were worth around 500k.

This is the last gold chest auction that has hit the forums :

And this is the last one that SOLD on forums :

Both were metal and usually regarded as less desirable.

This is absolutely true. Then you have to decide wheter you agree with the value or not, and sell it or not.

Rare hue chests are veeeeeery rare. I had to fish around 40 ancient MIBs (which, at 50k per, have a total value of 2 mils) to get just one (all the other ones were pure white).

I'd sell any ancient mib i fish up at 50k per lolololol

Let's be honest, they're hardly worth 25-30

They usually sell at 50k per but it takes some time. Or they used to. I buy mine 25k per because I buy in bulk and I'm quite patient. Most sell at 35k.

Good to know! 50k still seems crazy to me considering that they contain way less than that in loot. I'll definitely start selling mine instead of fishing them up

They countain around 35-40k in loot, plus the pure white net. That's where you can make higher profit. If you loot a blaze sea horse on a leviathan, your ancient MIB profit just skyrockette to 500k.
