using steam and sallos

when i put in files like i was told to do so can run sallos while running uosteam it always pulls up a error that says packet table extraction failed. anyone know how to solve this by chance. im not super computer smart and ive tried putting in every file i could think of for client options and ultima online.

You need to have 2 ultima online folders.
Direct sallos to one folder and uosteam to the second one.
I use sallos through the Uof launcher that is directed to the first uo folder then a copied folder of uo in a different area that I use with the uosteam client that I have downloaded separate.

i made a new folder and put a copy of uo folder into that. directed uosteam to the new folder and i still get the same error.

steam needs a raw, unaltered uo folder (no sallos file replacements). may have to re download a fresh UO from the installer.

I use steam/sallos in tandem almost every time i play, (pvp and macroing up other characters) and it works fine.

Thnx sir. Love the name. If I delete all my uo files will I loose all my characters?

Nope, all your characters/account information is server side, the client stuff just lets you access that information and use it.

I'd just wipe it all and do it over for the sake of simplicity, may take a bit longer but definitely less confusing.

I used it the first time and I barely got it working last time. I'll try again more today but seriously I'm tired of spending hours to get a fucking client to work. I might be too stupid to figure it out. Idk

i posted this on another thread, but I am going to ask here as well. These threads seem to be dated so I am not sure if fixes I am finding are out dated or what. I am trying to use both steam and sallos. steam for crafting and sallos for everything else. my problem is steam isnt working. I recently uncovered that I may need a new ultima client to be used exclusively with steam (thanks to this thread). however, I want to know if i download a new client, does it matter which one? as in, I know that I needed a client that had .uop files for sallos. If i download that same client again and un alter it, will that be sufficient? or, do I need an older version of the client for steam? Finally, fucking sallos. I added the file which I read was the 'talisman fix'. However, I still log on and get violated by an ogre whenever I move. help appreciated.
