uo forever launcher just stopped working

Use razor and go into options and check the box "run as administrator" and make sure it's running in Windows xp compatibility. Also, once in game, turning off music can help prevent crashes.

I just installed the beta launcher after not being able to open the old launcher. Also had to set compatibility mode to win 7 as I'm running Win 10. No issues since.

It's not even supported and updated anymore, what more do you guys need to finally move on?
it was good but win7 is as good now and will save you many headaches

It is updated slightly. The military runs XP on the majority of their machines.
Because they have a contract with MS to supply updates for a bit while they complete their migration, probably. Comsumers don't...

Anyways... you guys can run Razor/Steam directly
for Sallos users though... uhoh

tried everything. Razor does not open. I installed the game again. Reupdated, with new launcher nothing.

The only thing that works is uosteam. From what I can understand the updater does not try to find the directory stated in the uolauncher settings but rather the default directory of the game.

I was right! I renamed all the directories of my other installs of uo so that there is nothing in the default directory (program files\ea) and worked.

My laptop had the same problem, but my desktop was fine. I just uninstalled the uof launcher and reinstalled it. Hooked my steam back up and now I'm good. Good luck.
