Trying to raise Tinkering to 75

I am follow the advice on the wiki of making Lockpicks to get my Tinkering to 90. But it is 2000 iron bars later I have only gotten from 54 to 59. What can I do that will raise the skill faster?

Lockpicks.. Lol didnt see thats what your making. are you in the crafters area?

I wen to the 90s making lockpicks... dunno why its not working for you.

You could always try making tools, i gained from making tools alot while smithing and mining.

Lockpicks in a dungeon, stay fed. Make sure you're not maxed out on skills.

Always set your skills to "show real" and make sure you have room for more skill points. If not, point one, or more, down.
