Trying to Figure Out the Meta Talisman Quest?

Hey there, hope someone can help me, i got 30 vanquishing weapons and upgraded my stone to where it says 0/100 on the wiki it says to kill evil creatures with example of demons dragons etc, ive killed them yet the stone never increases from 0/100.... Can anyone tell me what i might be doing wrong or what monsters they know for sure will add to this stone?

Demons should be fine did you go back to the statue and accept the 2nd part?

figured it out, i was using evs to kill them and i guess you have to do most of the dmg with spells
