Trying to do bulk orders...

You must sell a random number of items to npc blacksmiths and tailors (NOT guildmasters) for them to actually offer you the deed.

Any items. One at a time. Took me 42 items once, but often times takes only a handful.

I'm a couple of days new to the shard. I can't get tailor or blacksmith NPCs to offer me BODs. I've followed the wiki instructions and a number of suggestions from a variety of posts but I do not see the BOD info option. I went ahead and sold a lot (around 100) of items to the tailor vendor, because one post suggested that the BOD info option was removed. Still no BOD offers.

I'm wondering if there is an account age/skill requirement? Nothing I found seemed to suggest this. There's a very good chance I'm just doing something very stupid. In which case please take this opportunity to point and laugh. When you're done, please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

Make sure you are not selling to a tailor or blacksmith guildmaster. You should be able to left click on the NPC and if there is an option for Bulk Order Info, then you can sell to these NPC's to receive a BOD. (you can also check the info option to approximate your timer until you can request another BOD) This assumes you are also at the requisite skill level to receive a BOD.

Hael ~ You'll need I think atleast 60 skill also, and that is likely 60 "real" skill, not shown skill.

This costs more than just selling single ingots.

I am having a hard time with the math on this one. I also tinker tongs to sell rather than selling ingots directly based on the logic that tongs sell for 7 gps rather than 2 gps for the direct sale of ingots. Assuming market value for iron ingots is between 8 and 9 per, if I do not mine my own and purchase them from other players, that's between a 6 and 7 gps loss per ingot with a sale of ingots to the NPC. With the tongs, it's only a 1 or 2 gps loss.

I can understand the logic if you don't have tinkering on that particular crafter, because your failure rate below 60 tinkering is going to be costly. So perhaps you are figuring in the cost of raising your tinkering as well?

I feel kind of ******** responding to something that is literally a difference of few gps, but the math was bothering me. Shit, if it's better to sell the ingots directly, I am willing to stop wasting my time tinkering them tongs!
