I have the most recent version of the UOF launcher and I'm not seeing where to enable tree hack.

There should be a settings tab in the bottom left of the launcher screen.
Click that and in general settings there should be "Enable Tree Hack",

that tree hack option does not work for me for some reason

I could never get the tree hack to work from the launcher. I ended up copying a guild mate's art files that had that mod.

because the previous launcher is not completely removed (I do not remember exactly, either in the registry or in a temporary folder)
try install game in other folder, reinstall windows ))
or just go to mine post above - try download UOF_Default_treehack_10_11_2015
replace files into your game folder

it is also important to understand what graphic files game are used (.mul or .uop)
in prev launcher game used this:
art.mul
artidx.mul
gumpart.mul
gumpidx.mul
in new launcher:
artLegacyMUL.uop
gumpartLegacyMUL.uop
if in yours game folder contains .mul files, thats no good, make clean reinstall

You need to plug a potato into your hard drive in order for the tree hack to work. Don't you know anything?
