Trading/selling without being stolen from

I would like to sell/trade some vanq weapons I have. I was reading the forums and it seems like people get stolen from while trading.

How do I not have this happen to me?

What is IRC and how does a person "PM"?

Do your trade at the dueling pit docks. It's a safe zone with banking.

What is IRC and how does a person "PM"?

To "PM", you need to have at least 10 posts on the forums, so go to the off-topic forum and spam away, or browse the forums and introduce yourself or something until you get 10 posts.

IRC - It stands for Internet Relay Chat and has been around forever. It's a simple way to get in touch with people that are logged in the game, without having them in guild/alliance/party chat, such as for trades and such. You can either download a "client" from a site such as http://www.mirc.co.uk/ or simply access the "browser client" at http://uoforever.com/chat/. Once you're logged in, you'll need to register your nickname (so it's unique and only you can use it) by typing "/msg nickserv register" and following instructions, that step is mandatory, otherwise, you won't be able to chat. You'll have to "log" into your nickname every time you log on IRC.
