Not a good idea IMO. Any organized group could make archer mages and completely wreck people without any sort of counterplay. Archers already are almost guaranteed hits as they hardly ever miss with a decent weapon.

It would be way too hard to balance a change such as this.

Before trying to add a new mechanic how about fix all the ones that are broken first ? ...

I can already imagine all the trolls chasing you with their EVS while spamming arrows
and bolts and flood the entire screen with ''lol'' spam all in caps right on the edge of guard lines.

Boring , no thanks.

Can I hit people with my spear from 4 tiles away too? Those long spears have some reach! Maybe allow me to throw the spear for a guaranteed para blow at the cost of 15 mana. Dismount with a 2-handed weapon while on foot would be pretty sweet too, you never see people PvP on foot. How about giving GM parry a 10% chance to completely negate spell damage, I never see parry dexers PvPing.
