Ok now that I got your attention
I began UO in 1998 shortly after it launched...and it was and still is the best version and best MMORpG out there.....Almost.
Feluccia : The original facet and in my opinion not bad until the griefers showed up. Mistaken often as PK's....these griefers ruined much of the game for many and was the main Reason UO Subs never really peaked much higher than 250K.
Yet you only support Griefer facets in your Forever game.
BOD's : The 1st nail in the coffin dooming UO to oblivion. BODs ruined the economy and took away a key aspect of the game where one could ply a real online trade and earn from it. Back in the day you could stand at a forge and repair/create armor and Weps for players and make good money doing it. With the Advent of the BOD system everyone and their second cousin became Smiths/Tailors over night and gone were the days of having a smith do anything but Mine and sell ingots.
Yet you introduced them into your Forever game.
As far as I can see aside from some New Eye candy this is just a copy of the active servers minus the Trammel aspects for people who don't care to needlessly be bothered by some grieffer idiots. Long touted as the Carebear Facet Trammel in effect saved UO from a very early demise by allowing people to play THE game and not to constantly cater to griefers. PvP is fun but should be put to a choice as sometimes people just want to do something other than fight other players.
Anyone who played the original knows my point about why Trammel was created....it's not a sissy thing, it's a I don't wanna be bothered all the damned time thing.
You guys have a done a wonderful job on this shard from what Ive read and seen....very well done. I can only question why you kept all the things that ruined UO and left out the things that made it the great game it once was.
After 10 years in UO I had to leave it just got too overcrowded with junk items junk races veteran garbage and the loss of a trade system where now your smith only crafted for you, dummy Skill stones etc.
Loose the PvP only system and the BOD system and you have a great thing going for you.
P.S. Origin and EA will verify this as well. The Lead Designers admitted years ago that the BOD system not only caused a max exodus but took away an important part of the UO experience.
