The selling forums need more structure.

Banning people is a slippery slope. Ban too many or too few and there are consequences. You wouldn't believe how many posts we delete daily.

No one is disputing the fact that the mods have more than enough work cut out for them. But the fact that there's people on these forums like me that stick only to certain sections because people like @Bobby123 ruin all the other ones with spamming/trolling threads/posts at every turn isn't exactly a good thing.

I have long supported having a vendor selling thread where vendors could advertise to their hearts content. However, it has not been done. The selling threads have been a disaster for some time.

just take down the selling thread and force people to use in game mechanics like vendors and word of mouth. no one needs to get off the game, and search on the forums. maybe this is a great time to put in a Flea market area in UOF. get people off the forums and into the game.... is this truly what @Shane wants? more people in game and less on the forums running their mouths??

I think it would be a great idea to have a flea market. Sadly they'd make it another safe zone. /sighs

There are dozens of mechanics on UOF that are designed to make the game more accessible because it's a new millenia and we are not the mostly teenage group of players we were when we started playing UO.

The forums are such a huge convenience for B/S/T. Take them away and everyone suffers.

i guess you are right, the item is 100% the sellers and can do whatever the fuck he wants with it, he can lie, post 100 times selling same item, can say sold, repost, say buyers are fake, create more drama, like what is currently going on. at least this way people cant be scammed using alts, guilds, etc ways to bid up, or really just fuck over the item a person is selling. why wouldnt you want less drama?

then with all that, people now in a forum setting can see all of this drama, i dont blame a single person for looking at the selling forums and just say fuck it and goes to post in the buying thread.

for how much i post and watch the selling thread, i wouldnt do business with 80% of the people posting on there, and i stick to it and i dont shop from certain people. and wish more people had this attitude and didnt break down and buy from people who want to ruin this game. all you want to do is perpetuate the rich getting richer and the poor staying poor, wonder if you are american hahaha
