Oh right you are still in hellcat country til 88. I like lizards at 88 that's when they start to get right in the sweet spot. You can do big hellcats at 90, hell hounds at 92, and imps at 95+.
I mixed it up and did mine pretty quickly that way. When I did my first tamer there were also still burning imps in fire dungeon which were amazing for gains in the high 90's.

Still gaining very good on the omps and small cats. 90.4 Show real 88. I have a new perpective on training taming now. If i bought a ss for 250k that breaks down to 25k a gain. So taming for and hour and get 2-4 gains thats 50k-100k worth my time. Decent value if you ask me.

You're doing something TERRIBLY wrong if you're getting 2-4 gains an hour at 88 real.
I was getting twice that at 114.....

Yea I'm sure I am, taming is background to raising my son so I'm probably watching him more than the screen. When he is asleep I things other than tame.

Damn you guys how are you gaining so slow??? I'm not fucking joking when I say I went from 99.5 to gm in 15 fucking minutes from pre tamed great harts.
There was never a time i averaged less than 1 full point an hour from 95 to 112 or something. And from 112 to 115 i was still averaging 0.8
This really makes me wonder what you guys would've done when i gmed this shit the hard way on OSI in 2000.

don't waster your time taming fucking hellcats at 88 real, it's too early.
Just grind scorpions in shame and re tame polar bears, walrus, grizzlies until you reach 91-92

Thanks for the advice ill try that. Except shame has pks checking it every 10minutes and its not worth the time it takes to rez and run back.

I did this EVERY time before i started taming. No idea if it's actually usefull but i had a rune and it only took me 5 seconds so i did it anyways.

Fun fact: i was pked a grand total of 1 time by a DP alchy fencer in fire on my way from 50 to 115. I had gm wrestling and gm resist tho. Keep your recall macro rdy

And thats about what I gain an hour, a full point. Thats about all time I have a night. So no, Im right on par with you.
All my training is done overland. I have two awesome spots for retamed gharts n Bulls. Mixed up with all my other spots.

You didn't mention you gained 0.5 to 1.0 in one hour. You said a generic "a day". 1.0 an hour is good at that level and it'll be steady until about 112.

I think if you take a break from pvp and dedicate all your playtime to taming you can probably do it in 4-5 days? 50-80 is seriously a breeze. You can do that in 10 hours maybe?

Ahhh ok. Yea thats mark target goal per day. Sometimes I push another hour but seem to never gain gain more then .2-.5 in that second. Idk

For me 70s n low 80s were brutal. But again, I skipped dungeons. (I know I know)
I flew thru the rest of the 80s n 90s are chugging along good to. Past weekend made it 2 weeks. Hour a day but missed somedays.
But yea Glutt haven't been out in the field running/chasing the purple people eaters. Miss it!

Yeah the gains are strange as fuck. Sometimes i wouldn't gain for 30 mins, then bam, 0.5 in 15 minutes. I admit that my road from 90 to 115 was hardcore, it took a total of maybe 3 weekends but all i did was taming when i could play

They must have changed how fast you gain because I spent 2 weeks inside of Shame taming Scorpions for at least 3 to 4 hours a day, at least 4 days out of the week, in order to get from 60 to the low 80's.
This was probably around July last year sometime.
I'd be lucky if I gained 2.5 points in taming in a 4 hours session. And that was with pre-tamed scorpions the majority of the time as there was usually a large group of us in there.
This going from 50 - 80 in 10 hours is just mind blowing if true now.
