T map hunting

I just starting a treasure hunter build and now I'm almost ready to go hunting. However, I have a couple of questions.

I understand that a rune library with a t-map section can be extremely useful, but how do we know which location is for our map? With 100+ runes, there must be a better way than to recall to every location to find the one that matches your map.

Also, what are the pros/cons of keeping Carto at 80 instead of Gm? I know it will take longer to decipher maps at 80, but where would those extra 20 points go anyway?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, 70 points in show real will allow you to decipher all t-maps, though sometimes you must double-click lvl 6's up to 20-30 times. However, there is no cooldown between attempts, so it is still rather fast. As for the extra 30 points, it depends on your template.
