Standing Forever: Empty Plots to Castles

Walking around randomly I still see the same empty plots, empty houses, empty keeps, and empty castles. Most being there and being empty forever now. Never for sale and the owners never seen. Wasting space they are doing professionally.

its much harder to find plots for houses since 3rd house was allowed. that created some serious housing problems in server, prices on housing section of forum shows it too.

i know some people that just dont decorate their houses and only use chests to store items. they look pretty empty but arent rly wasting space.

about those totally empty houses, keeps and castles; there are so few of them, i think they are just some veterans that stopped playing after putting that house down but keep refreshing their houses.

I just placed a house right next to brit east 11x9. I know its not big but still...Theres plenty of idocs and the fact that the housing prices are so high should be a good thing. I also believe they just added a new area booty island, that increased housing as well no?

Oh I'm not hunting for places I'm hunting for places that have been abandoned forever and placed long ago that still stand that aren't full of anything at all and not ageless.

Feel free to report houses or dead plots, that if you live near, or see from day to day that really aren't doing much of anything but getting refreshed by some random that logs in once a week.

Honestly, page in, or pm me on the forums here about it with the Coordinates.

I really look into these types of things, and i am 1000% against hogging plots/house spots on extra accounts and am against those who just log in once a week to refresh their house and log off for months on end.

This is something i've wanted to deal with for a long long time and it is coming soon to implement code that handles such inactivity and hogging/hoarding.

Converting larger collapsed homes into usable homes can sometimes take a bit of time (or money), depending on how difficult the placers want to be. Its usually a combination people not willing to pay very reasonable plot costs or the age old 7x7 for mils scenario.

I suspect that some may fall under multiple account/vpn abuse, but some are legitimate investments too, that simply require more time.

Food for thought as someone who converts and restores shit plots into keeps/castles/30x30s for a payday on UOF.

No. These are plots/houses that have seriously been placed with no possible bigger placement and have been empty for 1 - 2 years.

Then I don't know what to tell you other than the owners obviously care enough about them to refresh them, for whatever reason.

This is something Shane wanted to address for some time now. If they are just taking up the space and not playing here it's obvious by the contents of their unused property, length of time they've been empty, and their logs of logging in/out just to refresh. You've been here long enough to know and see the exact problem with this. I'm not looking for properties/space personally, but I clearly see the problem out there and have since the map has been covered in dead property.

I can understand what you're getting, and perhaps you're right. But there is no shortage of houses turning IDOC either. And compared to their historical prices, houses are actually selling at a very low price.

I have no problem with this as long as investments are safe from indiscriminate demolition.

Yeah absolutely, for every report we will be looking into it deeply for sure. We will look at a ton of different aspects before making a decision for removal definitely.

You can tell pretty quick by looking up account names, co owners, friends, and shared ip's, VPNs etc.

I think in the end we can ALL agree that having dirt plots sit for a long ass time is horrible all around.

Also if a person is planning to go for a bit or not return we usually hand off the property and not leave it unused. Pretty sure a lot of people know about that.
