Shadow Disciple - this ability when triggered gives mana recovery and lowers the resist of creatures that are casted upon. Mana recovery is calculated by: (damage * (10.0 + (Level * 2.0)) / 100.0). The resist of the target is modified by: resist * (1.0 - (((Level * 2) + 10.0) / 100.0)).

It also says mana recovery... but adds the change to lower resist. So is the difference that spirit speak works all the time unlike the relic that has a cool down?

You don't need the relic to use SS to get mana recovery from monsters?

How does it work? You press, SS, target a monster, hit it with a direct damage spell, and then gain mana?

It's passive. You just need the skill.
