Make spirit speak a usefull skill by letting you talk to your pets over long distances. GM would grant you say, 1/8th of the game world?

I got inspired by a now removed thread about people loosing their pets. I guess commanding your pet to fight is useless when you can't see it but you can at least release it.

Spirit speak is already a very useful skill for mana leech on a meta mage.

Spirit Speak reduces the cost of spells. With the talisman at level 10 with four relics applied an energy bolt will cost as little as 10 mana with 100 Spirit Speak, 14 mana with 50 Spirit Speak and 16 mana with 0 Spirit Speak.
