SoS Storage Cabinet

You would only need a maximum of 1 storage cabinet if it was implemented properly because all four quadrants would be sorted out for you automatically. The case for a 2nd cabinet would be to sort out ancient SoS messages. But, this can also be placed into the original implementation by simply counting the ancient ones to be a separate kind of SoS and thus the cabinet would show a total of 8 quadrants: 4 for the regular and 4 for the ancient.

Once upon a time, when I was "mibbing," I would go through the process of opening the bottles, and then opening the messages and sorting them into 4 different bags based on their quadrant (SE, SW, NE, and NW). I would then take a bag when it was full enough and place the locations of the SoS messages into UO Auto-Map and then plot the best course for scooping the chests up. I'd often be pulling SoS chests up one after the other within minutes and it was a really good way of making gold and getting magic items. The cabinet would simply make it less tedious to organize them into quadrants and free up a lot of storage space.

Perhaps something can be done for fishing nets as well?

A pirate can only catch you off guard if you're snoozing or doing something wrong, such as not scanning the horizons in a macro loop every couple of seconds. A bit of advice is that if you see a ship approaching you, and you have valuables you don't want to lose, sail away from the approaching ship, recall out, store valuables (SoS bag?) elsewhere, and, if you want to fight, recall back in and have a go at it.

Eh, idk I'm not sold on making this cabinet hold unlimited mibs. Seems like people will hold onto them and never sell them/ it'll alter the market for mibs.

They wouldent hold unlimited though just like bod books treasure map books, seed chest glowing rune chest etc. They have a limit it's just about taking up house lock down/storage space and organizing

The t-map cabinet has no limit, AFAIK. Has this cabinet altered the t-map market? I see maps for sale all over the place. Even if this SoS cabinet is created, I still wouldn't be doing SoS messages at the moment because I don't currently have the patience and I'm still exploring other areas of UO. I merely thought of it because I bought the t-map cabinet and had a lot of MiBs taking up space. I sell MiBs and will keep on selling them. I've got 3 legendary fishers and an awesome macro, and sometimes when I am around all day I will make them go fishing and check the screen every 10 minutes using a timer to collect.

Honestly seems like you just want unlimited storage.

Should the t-map cabinet be removed? Seems to me these people just want unlimited storage. Some people simply don't have the storage for fishing and they would otherwise have the storage with this cabinet. I've had trouble selling my MiBs at times and all they did was take up space for quite a while. The same goes for the maps. People often have trouble selling them and they just end up taking up a lot of space. I was no longer even collecting level 1 treasure maps because of it.

Fair enough. But I'm just saying we're already at 30second save times, adding more storage might not be a great idea. Plus its going to affect to mib economy. . Just debating here.

Mibs would have a problem though. I will not let you use such an item to pick the location. So it would not take open mibs and the ones removed would be opened.
