So where do I farm?

Hi.

Ive been mostly been training with my char and almost completely forgot to actually play the game. I know there is alot to think about but I need to learn that while playing.

Im curios about where to farm gold? Players on this forums talks about getting 50k+/hour

Of course I cant get that much at this point atm, and have almost never been deep in a dungeon. Heard tales about all the pk:s and thiefs running around there so that scared me of.

Most of my time has been working on a provo/tamer (Have peace atm, but tips from players are that I should drop it later for med)
All neccesary skills are GM or more except provo that is at 90. I know about RC table so when I decide to gm provo I will do that then.

Have pets to that are bonded but they still need little bit of training to do so Im actually pretty much able to start farming....

But where??
What should I think about, how should I act lol when PK:s come, what should I do?

I need to find some good income to raise my funds so I can buy me a ncie house, cool stuff and such.

Lol yes Im a noob...Dont rub it in my face, just want some suggestions and help from you guys that are far more experinced than me.

Thanks alot!

Everyone has their own "favorite" farming spots and a general rule of thumb is where you are comfortable.. along with how much risk you are willing to take. My advice is to befriend someone (or better yet, a guild) and get some experience through being "shown the ropes", so to speak. Most of the favored (and well known) hunting spots are frequented by PKs because, well, that's where "the action" is. The action being.. you are there, and they will attempt to kill you for your loot. Truth be told, unless someone is willing to show you their own favored "special" or "private" hunting spots, it will be largely up to you to create your own routine. However, no matter where you choose to go it is likely that you will end up meeting a PK no matter what. If you have no experience dealing with PvP then make yourself a recall macro and hit that sucker when a red appears on screen. Make sure you have "show incoming new players" (if using razor, I don't know if it's different for steam) checked so you see the name before the person arrives on your screen. Even then, most reds will have pre-casted spells and can kill you anyways if unprepared. Many PKers are ones of opportunity. Some run in packs for the lols. Depending on your template, you may be able to hold your own against an attack (most likely not against a zerg blitz though).

I think the best advice is:

Don't spend too long at ANY spot. Get in, clean up, get out, bank your loot, and move on to the next spot.
Carry only what you are willing to lose. Keep Spell Reflect up at all times.
Make a recall macro and don't be afraid to use it.

Good luck :)

Also, don't wait till ur full on cash to bank, bank frequently, only a few regs to recall, I always seem to get pk'd when i have like 10k on me. If your looking for a guild to break into the game and get some Info, try team fatts, all about helping people figure the game out.

Yes, always bank often. Pick a cap you are comfortable with and stick with it. Most times I cap at about 7k. Once I hit that gold amount I recall to bank.

Always, and I mean always, keep moving. Don't make it a habit of sticking around one area too long. You'll get the hang of things :)

Thanks alot guys, really appreciate the tips from you.

So long story short, Find a few good spots, recall in, kill some of the mobs and get the stuff, dont wait to long, go banking and on it again on another spot.
Dont have loads of goodies on me :)

And really important a good recall macro and some type of protection spell on me.

Might consider joining a guild and learn from the guildes.

Tomorrow its of to a runelibrary and find spots to begin with :)

Thanks again.

Definitely get in with a guild that suits your play style. Going it alone and with no experience can be rough. Again, good luck!

One last thing.. the "protection" spell you generally want ALWAYS active is spell reflect. It will save you headaches, trust me. If you truly are a newbie fresh out of the gate it would be wise to review the limitations and differences between the protection spells.
