SO do we have to cheat and speed hack to play here?

Pretty amazing how many dexer's play here and can amazingly outrun you and non stop kill you on mounts even when you are mounted and change directions and go through rooms.

Every single dexer red I have come across can magically out run me no matter which direction I go, up or down, in or out. Is this designed this way? Do certain donated mounts get speed boosts? Because I cannot believe for the life of me how every single red I come across fencer/macer can magically and 100% of the time out run me on any character.

it could be your isp and your connection to the internet. I lag ALOT and thus I do not get into pvp

I love how when people completely suck at PvP it automatically means EVERYONE has to be cheating or speed hacking. As Starnite said, its probably your ping.

Anyways, no I am on 100mg connection and have 10ms < ping, and I wasn't pvp'ing, I was running away, so it isnt like I was distracted but back to the point... can outrun me, and maneuver me and run faster than me in every which way even when I change directions without them knowing what I will be doing.

Stick to the point - sure I suck in PVP but I wasn't pvping, so now what?

Nope but when I get into my car I realize that someone else can smash into me. I understand the risks involved.

Some players are just good at pvp and they practice a lot. I don't think they know what your doing but after a lot of practice they become good at what they do. Just like when I was in karate, when I practiced everyday I could block a punch/kick easy. If I took a couple weeks off, I was a little rusty and thus some punches/kicks got through my defense.

I do not pvp but if there was not any pvp on this shard I would leave the shard. I get a rush leaving the guard zone and taking my chance on getting killed. Do I like getting killed ? No I don't but the rush of it is exciting.

Here is the way I look at it, if you are worried about pks,
1. don't leave the guard zone.
2. If you don't want to lose an object, get it blessed.
3. If you don't bless the item, don't get excited if you die and lose your items.

Dont give a fuck I died, I lost 50 regs, big fucking deal.

Doesn't change the fact the handful of times I run across the same reds, they ironically run faster than anyone else, are usually dexers and can outrun you and those times you do fight back and get them on the retreat, they magically outrun you.

So now that you got all the stupidity typical 13 yr old lame ass old excuses out of the way of how it is everything else EXCEPT the point... now what is it that is allowing these 'special' players to be so fast. Hmmm, gee I wonder. So if you are done trolling, and can comprehend the issue, feel free to come up with a logical and reasonable reason to explain the speed difference.

The truth of the matter is most players are not speed hackers. I've played here a year and have only seen two -- both of which are banned cause the devs caught them.

The best you can do is report the individual and let the GMs put them on their watch list. They take this seriously so don't think they won't actually do their research on said player.

Other then that all you can do is restock and keep playing.

You say you ping <10ms. Dont matter if you ping 0 if you suck at running. Running in this game is a mini game in itself, you gotta know how to cut corners and what not.

@Lucixir quite a few players here are beasts at using the house leave macro. They can potentially catch up to you half a screen every few seconds. It can get annoying until you learn to use the same tactic yourself :p

i ping on average like 25-30
doesnt mean shit at times when i have a shit computer

just know the world man, know which line of trees to keep runnin without having to stop, that will get them in range to pot you down, if you just pvm... it never hurts to get in the habit of carrying 4-5 trapped pouchs, 5 Gheal, 5Gcure 5 Grefresh and maybe a few Gstr in your normal stock routine

Yikes. 10 ping eh? Screenshots or it didn't happen.
Carl lives extremely close to the server and pings over that, 10 ping would be literally in same building if that. Larger networks causes more than 10 ping on average even if you're in the same building.

If you think someone is speed hacking, simply PAGE IN, and we will look into it promptly as we ALWAYS have my good man.
We have implemented and had various developers work on our current speed hack detection and throttling system. So, if you absolutely think someone is speed hacking, simply page in and we will find out very quickly for you. Speed Hack is almost non-existant on UOF these days honestly.

Sadly threads like this are just generally untrue, and over-all negative. Unfortunately you should of just pm'd one of us on staff about it and we can take care of it pretty quick instead of doing this whole public thing.
