Actually if it's the Metal Box I'm thinking of they are semi-rares you can get by harvesting from Refuse Piles located around the world.

Don't know about a price however so sorry :[

Same box. But I'm not totally sure that exploit worked here or not.
I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong) players use to be able to place a strong box in a house they were friended to. Then if they were removed and banned the box would drop under the sign outside and could be picked up and used.

But Pats also right about it coming from refuse pile. I've gotten 2 that way. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say 25-50k

you can or could get them from refuse piles around the dungeons, also was an exploit to get the strong box placed in a house by placing awall over it or something and they were also on either the dono vendor or goldsink/plat vendor at one time
