Go on though, keep on perpetuating baseless slander that's over 2 years old in origin, it's a little less pathetic than namecalling I guess.

Slander like accusing people of fake auctions with aboslutly no evidence you mean?

you started it bro lol and everything i have said has some facts behind it unlike your fake sale bullshit you pulled out of your arse cos you got ya nickers in a twist over him " not accepting pm offers"

how ever u wana spin it 2 yrs later everyone who has been on UOF more than a short while knows hanes is a shady fuck

you have no idea what you're talking about all around on this issue. Weather or not manolo actually sold the item on a vendor doesn't mean he had no contact with the person who purchased it prior to the sale, and that he didn't accept gold or items on top of the vendors price for the trade, and simply sold it via vendor so quickly to save his forum reputation. You have no proof that he didn't and tbh none is needed.

Regardless, the fact remains that the buyer never recieved the item he won from the auction. It's a mark against manolo as an auctioneer any way you strech it and something really needs to be done to curb the sleazy tactics people are constantly using for auctioning their items, thus the thread.

Deal with it.

The angst is thick in this one.

At any rate, if anyone has had any bad dealings via player auction, please post about it and let the players decide for themselves. I will also update the OP for a quick reference to anyone who is participating in an auction so they can have some idea of what they might be getting themselves into. I would also appreciate if this thread could be cleaned up and stickied in selling section, as it can prove a useful tool to avoid bad dealings. @Swayze @halygon

If @manolo would like to earn back a little credit with this community, all he needs to do is simply apologize for his mistake, if it really was one. Try to realize that the nature and setup of his 12 hour auction, followed up with the winner not recieving the item does much to discredit him and makes me skeptical.

Manolo has nothin to appologise for if he choose's to that is upto him also tbh who gives a fuck if you are skeptical you have zero credibility in this community anyway and 99% of us think you are a complete tool and they other 1% just dont know yet. Even manolos buyer @Bromista doesn't really give 2 shits about what has boiled down to be bad timming and bad luck now stop trying to be a white knight when everyone knows you are a tool and far worse than anyone else here you attempt to tarnish

GL getting this joke thread stickied thou :)

Thread should be stickied. But either way it's about time someone did this.

Likely manolo was asked via IRC by one of @Bromista 's various enemies to vendor it to save face, on purpose so they could snipe it off him.

manolo's only option to regain any credibility after this is to apologize for his error and let the community decide weather he is truthful in his apology.

Ugh. Am I displeased? Yes.

Are you disproportionately attached to this? Also yes.

Why?

Why?

I thought that like-minded people found each other. I guess you need rivals too but what the hell is this really about with manolo? There's got to be some juicy weirdness attached to this.

Nothing personal against manolo. The winner of the auction never got the item, which is a huge problem here and no doubt has caused players who have tried UOF that come from games with a better auction system to dislike it.

It really is for the long-term benefit of the community that we have a resource that will help save newer players here the frustration of bidding on auctions they have no hope of winning, even if they win. This method also helps newer players understand how to avoid discrediting themselves as auctioneers as well.

I would prefer this over any in-game auction system because it's just not UO.
