Slayer Spellbooks? Ever?

Not only would this drive scribes sales (have the same requirements as blacksmithing slayers) but it would give pure mages like myself an option in PVM beyond combatting lower end mobs with EVs. It really takes away a lot of fun when I have to stay away from high end dungeons just because I don't have anything to match provo, slayer dexors, or tamers.

I know this has been discussed and was planned at one point, and I also know a lot of people think it's heresy for mages to be as good as they are at PVP and then to be good as well at PVM, but I really think that is a gross overreaction. Please bring something like this to the table. It would make being a scribe so much more fun and lucrative.

+1 although i thought there was a Silver Spellbook out there somewhere...not %100 on that. But yeah would be a cool idea

there was ~ 8 out. 2 from the Monster of the Month with a Diff Hue. Like that one i own. and the 6 from the Slayer event. All these Book's are Silver Books. So Double Magic Damage vs Undead's.
Terra Slayer book came from the Ant Lion but is Disabled at the Moment or Forever none Knows. So far i have only seen one.
And the KingSlayer book dont know if it was a Slayer just saw it once.. Fishing is Fun owns it.

i seen a ninth silver slayer spellbook drop off some random event where there was a darkfather in occolo. same color as the grey ones, was when i first started here.

I agree. Inscription should be able to make slayer books like other crafting skills can make slayers.

Live UO has slayer books and it's the difference between being able to have mage as a viable PVE character and not.

i was told my staff these will NEVER be on the donation vendor..... which i heavily agree.... if we want to talk "end game stuff" this type of item should only be handed out during events..

I think if they did it in such a way that the spellbooks weren't blessed, it would still give value to the event items and furthermore it would stimulate the economy and give something like slayers for scribes to make rather than runebooks and recall scrolls all day.

Make only the scrolls slayer no spellbooks except the super rare ones, you would have to craft them same way u craft slayer weps in guild. Huge gold sink tons of scrolls and regs gone bye bye trying for slayer spells,
