Maybe something like a lockout, similar to ghosts within champ proximity until the thing is over/last bit of gold looted for failing their attempt at raiding powerscrolls. You can try your chances again next time around. I think temp stat is abused way too easily with multiple chars per account.

To everyone talking about perma stat "killing pvp", wouldn't that just encourage you to seek pvp elsewhere? Would you log in and say to yourself, "oh I can't kill people farming in dungeons anymore without risking perma stat? Guess I'll log back out." Honestly having to go recalling dungeon to dungeon looking for 1v1's is tedious and pretty redundant. There is an entire goddamn world we can fight in, maybe this could encourage pvp hotspots where if you want actual pvp you can readily find it. Not being able to run around dungeons chasing people with their slayer weapons and meta pets really effects that much people here? With all that said I feel champ zones should be an exception because if your going to be able to obtain potential millions of gold in scrolls, you sure as hell should be ready to defend it.
1V1s get boring pal. Going to a dungeon and killing one person often leads to an all out war between two groups or one person vs a group (which in dungeons is still very fun)

first level: 72 hours statloss
second level: 48 hours statloss
third level: 24 hours statloss
fourth + : 12 hours statloss


outside dungeons: zero statloss (except for graveyards and mines, also apply 72 hours to that)

Statloss happenz as soon as you die. No buying your head back.

edit: obviously this would need some altering for quite a few dungeons. Ice for example would be rather hard to classify since it has a newbie area right at the entrance but also has high end mobs at the end of it.
I still like the whole head retrieval aspect though, maybe not base it off the best ping but who cut it first

people tend to think that pvp should be done outside dungeons and dungeons should be care free farming spots. i dont get it...

Double the cost? So tax the class of players that make barely anything playing pk? While protecting the trammies who came to a DUNGEON in feluccia who make money a lot faster. 25k is a lot already, pks don't make much without making a pvm character. People act like pks are loaded

I raise my stats in dungeons all the time. Nothing funnier than recalling out as a PK comes running in the room casting paralyze. Just think of how much time they wasted hunting down my poor little carpenter only to have me wink out and go elsewhere. Plus even if I'm slow I can usually withstand the first barrage of eblot flamestrikes and recall out w/ 10% health.

It sounds like the people who go AFK are the ones with the issues.

People let their guard down too much in dungeons. There are so many ways to avoid getting pkd but people want to take their time looting, have conversations, and go afk while in a dungeon. I recall in, kill 5-10 monsters, recall out. Every one of my pvmers have at least 60 magery and recall regs. I don't rely on scrolls in a book cause if you're interrupted, you're dead. I'd rather hit my recall hotkey then manually target my book. This way if I'm interrupted, I just hit the hotkey again. But some people just refuse to carry regs and have magery. Some people think their pvmers should survive 3 pks. Some people want to fight back.
If I want to fight back, I recall out on my pvmer then alt+tab to my pvper and go back on him. We play this era for the thrill of the game. It's why these pre trammel servers have a population 10x bigger then the best trammel server. Osi changed their rules to appease the complaining subscribers. We were given the privilege to mark and recall in and out of dungeons. People still suck so bad that their still crying when their given every opportunity to flee.

Who said you can't do this anywhere else but a dungeon? The fact that you are looking for an "all out war" by killing a tamer in a dungeon is a testament to how inactive everywhere else is for pvp and pking. This is not how I found mass pvp anywhere else both on osi or on any other freeshard. I hunt on my alchy dexer and literally 90% of the time if it's just one guy trying to pk me they end up running or dying. People mainly dungeon pk because pvmers are easier targets than someone looking for a fight - and there's nothing wrong with that, people should be able to kill whoever the hell they want, but if you're aiming for easy targets who aren't the best pvpers and may not have the fastest reflexes, I think you should share a certain amount of risk that those pvmers are. Seeking a war by killing a tamer or a dude and his silver cutlass doesn't make much sense to me.
