Scamming

Scamming is encouraged here right? That is my question.

So if I bought a few hundred dollars worth of donation coins and then minutes after I get them someone was able to trick me with a scam and take them. I am just out a few hundred dollars and should just never donate again in the future because I am too stupid to handle the responsibility of the coins right?

Just wondering the stance on this issue.

scamming is not forbidden but scamming that involves bad players and large amounts of donation items/coins will definitely be looked at..

Scamming is NOT ENCOURAGED HERE.
People may scam occasionally, but if it's over-board then yeah, to the spikes!

Scamming of donation items/ coins is also illegal.

Uhhh.... Lol what the fuck?

You meant to say " I donated a few hundred bucks and was dumb enough to be scammed out of them.. So get them back or I'll never donate again.. Or I will, but I'll just QQ here til I get my way"

Don't get scammed. It's not hard.

I would be pretty steamed too, but (aside from Shane's posting concerning scamming) if you are making it well known (on the forums) you are willing to get any denomination of dono coins for 180k per 1k, scammers will come out of the woodwork to do a little slight of hand. Before dealing in any large transactions, let the buyer and seller beware lol. Did you not read up on scamming tricks before dealing in bucket loads of coins to protect yourself?

Let me clear something up because people seem to be disgruntled. I was not scammed for hundreds of dollars in coins.

My question contained the word "if" many times because it was hypothetical. I have been selling small amounts of donation coins and was scammed recently for a small amount.

I do not want them back and barely care of them. I however do want to deal in very large amounts and was concerned about if someone would be able to get away with something one a big deal.

I play very little. Less than an hour a day on average. I play for mostly nostalgia reasons. It is not so much trading for gold as it is trading for time. I have money and they have time so we barter what we have.

Sorry to those that this question in the question section upset.

just always be careful.. open the trade window with a small item of no worth (empty bottles etc.) and if they should drop the trade window for whatever reason, start to be suspicious. With a little bit of care taken, there should be no reason to get scammed like this.

I wasn't disgruntled in the least :)

I just think the way it was put kind of insinuated that it was you (you know, kind of like someone goes to someone "I have a friend who..", and it's really about them). Regardless, general consensus seems to be trade at the Docks (no stealing allowed there) and make sure you know what you are clicking accept to. Read up on common scam tricks. I would even go so far as to break one "large" transaction down into several "smaller" ones if you are weary of a big one.

With only playing less than an hour each day I don't know what you are purchasing for large amounts, but to each their own. I get nostalgia and all but..

Oh, I only saw one *if* in the original post, not many :) Yeah, yeah--mere semantics.
