Hello, I am a returning veteran from Ultima Online many many years ago since 1999.. I have stopped playing this game for quite awhile since I have seen some of the game play recently.. Looked kinda bad on EA part.. Now a friend of mine told me about UO Forever and what is this about? I signed up on this just curious honestly.. Can you answer me these few questions

1.) How many players does this game have?
2.) How many GM's / Administrators are constantly on the game
3.) How many shards are available???
4.) What expansions do we need or are they all built up into one??

Thanks for your time.. I mostly play world of warcraft but I have had a serious nostalgia and thought why not look this up.. Have a good week..

Hey there

Player Base - We have a constant 500-600 client count at most times of the day.
Active staff - There is almost always at least 2 of us on at all times of the day.
#1 of shards - Just the one, there are not multi-shards like on OSI
Expansions needed - They are all built into one. Just download the package from the website, hop on and play!

UOF is prolly the best run and best of UO's Era rules. UOR for the most part, but unfortunately they've sprinkled some less then cool features like 47AR leather Meditation armor. Finding a house spot can be a pain as they've allowed 3 accounts per IP, but all things considered you can't find a better UO experience anywhere else.

Welcome back... enjoy your stay.. I would recommend looking into UOS, as Razor is less then functional, and UOS has a really good Map Feature that Razor FAILED at. It's a bit more complicated to create macros, but the common and less Cheat like Macro's are available via libraries.

I am trying to download it now.. Do I need to download the UO.com client to be able to download?? I am downloading the UO website client right now.. I really miss this game so much.. Had fond memories of it.. Building houses and stuff.. My friend and I are returning to this game now.. Or when I should say it's done downloading.

Also the housing market isn't that bad. It's every player's first major hurdle for sure, but it's a small price to pay for such a highly populated server. Stay focused on it and you'll find a good one within 1-2 months, then it's yours for all time

Welcome, just make a bard and farm some gold. Shouldnt be too long before you can buy a house on here. Then you are good to go.

The population isn't the source of the Housing problem. If you walk around, you'll notice that a lot of the houses are empty place holders. 3 accounts each.. 3 houses each... Goto the WTS forum, and Houses, you'll see 80% of the houses are sold by the same 2-3 people.

Bob, If you need a bit of help w/ a place to macro/live temporarily I just bought a large house from one of the resellers, and still have my starter house south of Minoc right outside of the guard zone. You're welcome to be friended to it...
