Res Bonded Pets that Req 50 taming

I think that players who do not have a vet or a pro tamer should be able to res their bonded pet with healing or magery if the pet requires 50 or less taming, making dexxers, miners, farmers able to purchase higher end mounts.

Can you clarify your proposal more? I am not seeing the connection between:

"I think that players who do not have a vet or a pro tamer should be able to res their bonded pet with healing or magery if the pet requires 50 or less taming"

and

"making dexxers, miners, farmers able to purchase higher end mounts."

Also, why should someone be able to perform a pet resurrection without the required skills?

Simply proposing that pets that require 50 taming or less able to be ressed with only healing skill or Margery. Not for the higher pets, dragons, nightmares, death beetles etc.

I mostly play on dexxers, mages, Provo and would like to have a rare wolf as my mount. I do not have professional taming character and would have no way to res a bonded pet.

No offence but, you'll never get the Dev team to agree to your idea. It's just to far off of the traditional UO path. Vet has it's place.

Messremb's idea has huge potential though. The economy boost alone should make it worth adding.

Most folks in your place will go to West brit Bank and ask for a pet res there from one of the countless tamers sitting around. This usually works for everyone. Also, you can join a guild and have your guild help you resurrect pets when there is a need for it.

^ sometimes easier said than done, however it is a doable workaround.

Don't factions have vets to res war horses? I assume this is because many hardcore PvPers don't have tamers, so I don't see why each stable couldn't have a similar vet NPC with a taming req check upon pet ghosts entering their space.

Or the deed thing.

It just seems weird to cater to one type of player and not another.

Brit bank is 75% afk, 20% poker and 5% theives. I have waited around there for 30 min before someone finally rezed my pet. Pet rez deed hurts nothing.

This is great idea too. I really don't want to rely on people at Brit bank or my alliance to res a regular mount. These mounts are just for aesthetics only and i do not want to go through a 20min hassle to get my mount ressed.

Nah it makes sense for a shard that doesn't want to enable tamer pvp.

Pet rez deed hurts nothing.
Calm down, no one said it did. I don't really have an opinion on them personally, but I do know that this suggestion has been brought up before and turned down by the dev staff. If you feel strongly about it, make a suggestions thread on it and let people provide insights.

I disagree...reason being nothing under 50 taming is even remotely viable to PvP with which is why I suggested the taming req check ;)

I don't disagree with tamer PvP being discouraged, not one bit. I just want a new player to be able to get horse/pack horse resurrected easily and conveniently!

I was referring to having an NPC vet that resurrects pets like factions do. That *was* what you were referring to when you said that its weird to cater to one group.. isn't it?

i simply would like to see a way to res a bond mount that does not include relying on another player or making a character just to res the pets. Like i said before, just basic mounts.

I think there's some confusion, but it is kind of a reach on my part.

PvPers have difficulty finding faction tamer to res their ponies. Faction bases receive vet at base to res horse. Catered to.

Casuals and new players have difficulty finding tamers to res their ponies. I would like to see them catered to.

Now 500gp is not the end of the world but it still would be cool for the new guys. Nobody is quitting because they can't get their horse/packy resurrected. Still I think it would be nice for a new player, familiar with UO or not, to know someone is looking down on them and making the game just a smidge more convenient.

Inb4 but it's not UOR accurate!!!1!
