Remove/reduce 7 day timer to delete characters

Is there a point to this thing now? Maybe it was useful in the old days to prevent people from constantly rerolling to make money off of the starting gold and newbie regs, but you can easily hit multiple GM here in a day so it seems rather pointless. At least reduce it to 24 hours or something. It's really not a big deal but it's annoying if you screw something up during character creation and have to wait a week to remake that character. Autists like me need to get that ideal beard/skin colour combination otherwise the character is ruined.

Seriously, I've accidentally created a character on one account that I meant to create on a different one.

I think the 7 timer should stay. The only reason why I say so is because of newbied bandages. I can create a character with healing and anatomy and get 200-250 newbied bandages for any character that isn't red.

Unless the bandages are made regular in the same way as the regs are when creating a mage (Made so that they don't stay with you on death), then the 7 day timer should stay.

Are newbie bandages even a thing now? I know they weren't blessed anymore when they un-blessed the "tissues for your issues" handouts that were being duped.

The 7 day timer is there though to prevent hoarding up newbie blessed items.

Good point.

Maybe make it a 2-3 day timer instead? I see both sides of the argument.

Agreed. I'd be fine with 2-3 days, but 7 is excessive. @Bobby123 was banned for 5 and it broke him.

True, but most of us don't live or die based on whether or not we can play cheat on UOF 24/7.

And I mean you always have alts you can play in the meantime as opposed to being told you can't play here in any capacity for X amount of time because you did things you knew you weren't supposed to. You know, instead of making an innocent mistake.

But then again, having one char you can't (or won't) play for seven days does seem like a little out of proportion when you only get a five day ban for cheating day in and day out for like a solid solid year, hoarding wealth from exploiting RDAs and using that wealth to buy up multiple tamers so that when the exploits are fixed you can find a new way to cheat. You know, multi-client PvPing your way through driving other players away from the server.

I could go on. I should go on. But I won't go on.

+1 reduce the timer but don't eliminate it completely.
